"It was on this day in 1095 that Pope Urban II, while on a speaking tour in France, called for the first Crusade to recapture Jerusalem from the Turks. There was no imminent threat. Muslims had occupied Jerusalem for hundreds of years. But Urban II had noticed that Europe was becoming an increasingly violent place, with low-level knights killing each other over their land rights, and he thought that he could bring peace to the Christian world by directing all that violence against an outside enemy. So he made up stories of how Turks in Jerusalem were torturing and killing Christians, and anyone who was willing to join the fight against them would go to heaven.

My sister in law's husband has been sacked from the force for nearly four years now.
They have four childen and receive social services benefits(in Australia) They would get about $1000 a fortnight but her husband is also now working (receiving cash in hand - amd also social security benefits.
they are always crying poor, but whenever I see them, they have the latest new clothes, new hairstyles - spend $100's on hair colours, styles, cuts, etc.
Children have plenty of toys and new clothes and they recently bought a $500 dog to breed with their other $500 dog.

They cry poor a lot and say it's hard raising four children with little money.

Could there be more to it then this?

Do they get mad when you ask them to spend time with the kids? Mine says it is offensive and its saying he is a neglectful father. I say maybe he feels that way, but I never mean it that way, I dont think hes neglectful, he just needs a nudge now & again. Does this cause problems in your house?

My cousin gave me some hand me down clothes for my baby girl. I really appreciated them as they are adorable but both her and her husband are heavy smokers and the clothes wreak of smoke! We are a non-smoking family and I really need to get the smoke smell out of these clothes! I tried washing them in Baby Dreft but it did nothing. In fact, I threw in some of my baby's other non-smoked clothes, and the smoke permeated to those too! Please help! Only serious replies.

A Rabbi is crossing a busy road in front of a Catholic Chuch. Head down, deep in thought he does not see the big red bus that flattens him.

A crowd gathers round him. A priest from the Church rushes over to see if he can help. Not realising the badly injured man is a Rabbi he administers the Last Rites.

The Priest crosses himself and kneeling down whispers in the Rabbi's ear "My Son, do you believe in the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost?"

A quizzical look appears on the Rabbi's face as he answers " I lie here dying and you ask me riddles?"

I made a group for wrestling fans

yes, i know there are pleanty of groups out there, i have visited some of them, and was disappointed in some. Because only two things members could do was to vote or post stories or comments. nothing else.

in this group, you will be able to do a lot more then that. in sharing photos of your favorite wrestliers as well as telling storying lines, or wishes of your favorite wrestler.

I am on metformin, I started on August 31 I had 2 reguler cycles (Sept 12, Oct 11) my af was to arrive on Nov 9th all that week I had af cramps as if it was coming but it never showed, anyone taking metformin ever experience this and y?

So far my af is 19 days late and still have no signs of it coming

Growing up, I excelled in numerous subjects. I was my parents' pride and joy. Even then, I was afraid that something would one day change me to make me turn my back on my morals and misuse all of the knowledge that I have gained from school.

One of my other fears is that my dad will soon die. He was sick for a while and got better. Still, I wonder what I would do if he did die. He is the main provider for my family, and I'm afraid that something like this would just push me over the edge. In times of anger and hatred, I have seen and discovered a side to myself that scares even me.

Help?

A friend is being sued in Texas for a debt. 2 years ago he was sued over a debt his ex defaulted on. There was a default judgement and I doubt he paid the debt. I think the new suit is an attempt to collect on the judgment. What happens if he doesn't go to court and still refuses to pay? he works on commission. I assume the court will garnish his wages? Is there anything else they can do?
