have tried surgical spirit and nail varnish remover

I don't know if it would work but i used rubbing alcohaol on paint i spilled this weekend. Also at the store there is this goop you buy that removes spray paint. This was at an auto/body shop store.

Any solvent will probably attack the plastic. You best option is to carefully scrape the paint off and expect to re-polish the surface with T-Cut or =

They probably painted because the light stay on and drove them crazy. Try paint thinner if you want it to drive you crazy too.

cellilous thinner is the way to go i think. most car sprayers use it to thin the paint out and to clean the spray guns. my brother just suggested petrol.

Most anything strong enough will soften the plastic & vinyl> Use vinyl spray over it>

if it is just regular aerosol spray paint from a can.... gas will bring it right off

u can use paint thiner which is easily available in paint shop i think it can help u.
