I have gymnastics in a couple hours but I have a cold and not going isn't an option. Right now i have a sore throat and a little bit of a runny nose and I had a sore throat all day yesterday. Not going to gymnastics isn't an option, but the only cold medicine I have is Children's Triaminic Thin Strips Night Time Cold & Cough. Is it okay to take this during the day before I go to gymnastics? I haven't rlly noticed it making me drousy before. I took it last night about an hour before I went to bed and it still took the usual 1/2 hour- 1 hour to fall asleep.

I have a 17 yo who is disrespectful, manipulative, strong willed, and extremely oppositional. My husband and I are at our wits end with her. The more strict and the more we punish her, the more she punishes us. She has used school as a tool; she don't get her way, she don't go to school. Right now she is not going at all. Yes, we've been through every channel with that one. Her behaviour can be out of control at times which makes it miserable for our entire family (we have other children as well). We've tried counseling...we could barely get her there without a major fight, she was diagnosed with ADD and refuses meds. It has gotten to the point where we have thrown our hands up. We are worn out, we have tried to reach her but she won't meet us half way with anything. If we back off and cut her off financially (which we have somewhat), let things get worse before they get better kind of thing, do you think she'll snap out of it? Or, what I fear, fall further?

My wife has recently been laid off. Her estimated monthly pension payment at age 65 will be $237, OR she can take a lump sum payment of $5400 now and have no payments coming to her again. She is 31. Is it worth waiting 34 years for such a small monthly payment? Besides the pension she also has a 401K for reitirement and is currently seeking new employment. Thoughts on this?? I'm thinking the best option would be to take the lump sum now.

I'm genuinely interested in answers to this. Why are believers in a god prepared to believe in a god? Is there a reason you are prepared to believe in something that can never be proven in this life? Was there a specific incident that caused you to believe or were you just raised to believe? Have you ever questioned your belief or is it something you just accept?

I am kind of comfortable with the idea that seas of petrochemicals like those identified on Europa could somehow end up forming the most basic forms of life i.e. the ingredients are there. I am however fascinated by the problem that if life is an inevitable consequence of the right ingredients and an awful lot of time then why there isn't more evidence of the creation of life occuring throughout history. Could oil be less the remains of many dead animals or the breeding ground of life itself. Crackpot stuff maybe but I would like to know other peoples opinions.

& we seemed to have a great connection, etc. When I met him, he told me that he had been broken up with his 1-year girlfriend for 3 months. I found out that was a lie, & they were still "hanging out" just a few weeks before he met me! Things started changing recently between us, & he told me that "he's not completely over his ex." He says he has no desire to be with her, & he loves me, & wants to be with me! So after I got VERY suspicious over some "red flags" I saw, I started listening to his voicemail on his cell phone! I know how shady & wrong that is, but I felt like I had a reason to & I was right! It turns out that they still talk A LOT during the day. They might see each other too. I live about 45 minutes away from him, & they only live 5 minutes apart! I stay with him 5 nights a week (including all weekend long), & we talk on the phone when I don't. I don't want to sound like a crazy, psycho chick & tell him how I invaded his privacy. What do I do? How can I catch him cheating?
