I need to determine the location of a movable weight (180 lb(m)) hanging from a beam that will result in equal vertical reactions at either end of the beam.

The left side of the beam (A) is attached to a hinge (or pin if you like). 3ft. in the +x direction there is 420lb(f) in the -y direction. 6ft from that (again in the +x direction) there is 640 lb(f) in the -y direction. Then another 6ft from that is the end of the bar which rests on a roller (point B). So the total length of the beam is 15ft.

Neglecting the weight of the beam I figure the total force in the -y direction is -1240 lb(f). So the reactions at A and B should each be 620 lb(f) in the +y direction right? So then, the total moments are: 620(0)+620(15ft)-420(3ft)-640(9ft)-180(xft)=0 right? I determined that the weight should be 12.666667 ft from the hinge. Did I do this right?

Also, there are no forces in the x direction.

i was walking home from work early cause i work near home and i was walking by a car in my parking space and i seen two people thru the window so i stop to see what they were in my space for. when i looked in the guy was on top of my girlfriend with her legs up. i banged on the window said you ***** and waited for them to do something they just looked at me with the doors closed so i just begin scratching **** into the car with my key and denting the car. i was scared like what the hell should i do. cop well not do anything. i hoped on the roof and was like your done woman but when i walked away i watch them and she hoped out and he left. she came up stairs and said she was sorry and i said pack get out im done. now she saying that nothing well ever happen again and shes done forever. i make sleep on the couch and trat her like a dog. i dont know what to do i locked her out but i pay the bills she has a name on the lease? let me know

What is the refresh rate of a plasma screen compared to lcd sceeen and when i compare the specs between the two such as contrast ratio, does it compare equaly - ie if plasma is 5000 - 1 does that mean a lcd would have to be 5000 - 1 to be as good? Just my brain ticking over again as I am looking to buy the best i can get for my money!

As an Angel fan Im kind of worried cause all I hear is that the Angels are ther front runners in getting Cabrera but I think that if its going to happen it should of happen already. Does anyone have an idea why the Angels or any other team hasnt been able to aquire Cabrera yet?

I've been dating my b/f for a little over 1 year now and I feel that I'm ready to go to tha next level (sex)

Well my mom told me a while back that If I was gonna be sexually active with a guy that I need to at least have tha decency to tell her before I do this.

I don't see it as fair at all. All other scientific theories have to be peer reviewed and published in a scientific journal before it can be taught in a classroom. Every other scientific theory has to win a scientific consensus if it is to be taught in a classroom. What creationists are saying is that their theory should be able to skip all that and go straight to the classroom without undergoing any peer review, and without having to win a scientific consensus. How is fair that every other scientific theory has to fight its way into the classroom but your theory doesn't??? How is that fair????
