you should practice more and wait till next year, try not to get on the bad side of a coach, just prove yourself that you are better than the rest next year

I'm assuming you're talking about high school ball.
If thats the case, don't get worked up about it. Truth is that many coaches already have their minds set as to what the team is going to look like before tryouts begin. Unless you where a phenomenal prospect (6ft+, 200+lbs), chances are, he never had a spot for you to begin with. Many times, the coaches carry over the players he had from last year, so the tryout is simply a formality.

yeah it would be nice to know how old you are and what grade you're in..... but height or size means nothing in basketball... If u can play with the trees u alright. Don't stay mad man just work on your game and come back stronger next year.. Even Jordan got cut back in his day.... If u fall get up and try it again..

just because you attack the basket real well doesn't mean you do anything else well. find out why your coach let you go and improve on your weaknesses. come back and show him he can't leave you off the team... by the way i mean really work on your weaknesses, and by come back i mean after lots of practice not shoot around a little bit and go up to him tomorrow.

Maybe the coach saw something in you that he didn't like, and wasn't about to tell you the truth given your reaction to not making the team. If you got angry and couldn't control yourself, it's very likely that you would let your emotions get out of control in game situations. Nobody wants that on their team.

Well, how old are you?

5'8'' is pretty short for a college player, not to mention a pro.

Try to loose the extra weight. That might work!

Good luck!
