Being spiritual is not neccessarily characterised by religious practices such as worship, prayers, meditations and other prescribed rituals. It is a way of being in which one's true being is experienced along with its connectedness to all beings(living and nonliving),its mutuality, equality and harmony with all that exists and hence treat all beings with love and respect - no?If religious practices usher in such a stae of being ,well and good; if not, what is the use of such practices?

I can't imagine a British lawyer for a suspect in a crime being allowed to make such inflamatory remarks about another suspect publicly, can you? I can certainly imagine that a suspect might say such a thing, but surely a lawyer should be cautioning against such remarks not making them!!!

Am I missing something? Perhaps I just don't understand the Portuguese legal system...

It was made a while ago and the family lived probably in the 40's. The father lost his job and went to another city because there were openings at a factory. I believe someone got killed and the father was blamed, even though he was innocent. The kids ended up going to Washington DC to speak to the president about clearing their father's name. I believe this was a true story. Every year we try to find the movie on tv, but we don't know the name. My husband doesn't think it's Robert Wagner, so I'm not real sure who the actor is if it's not him. Thanks for your help!

ppl say that muscle weighs more than fat....however what they mean is that muscle is denser than fat, just like comparing a large amount of cotton and a small peice of lead....
so if you lose 1 pound of fat do you also gain 1pound of muscle?
and if i do so,will i gain weight or still remain the same weight?
and if you injured ur muscles, will you gain weight after they repair themselves?

"If you do not bear the cross as I did, you cannot be my disciple".

What does that mean to you?

Do you pick up your cross daily?

Would you willingly die on that cross as He did?

Would you willingly make the ultimate sacrifice as He did for you, or would you run away and deny Him like Peter did?

What would you do?

I think for mature Christians, the answer is easy... for those babes in Christ, they would falter at the above.

What about you?

I am a devout Christian, along with being a humanist. Yet, many Christians tell me these are mutually exclusive. How do you figure, when being a humanist simply means being concerned with the welfare of people and humanity overall? To me, that's the very definition of Jesus Christ Himself.

So, how can you truly be a Christian, without being a humanist as well?

The laws of OT are not at all applicable now. Then why to read it? The NT is of God of Kindness, Sacrifice and Humanity. Then the contravertial OT teachings, why to remember in prayers?

I am nearly 21 years old. Im a virgin n have been best mates wiv this stunning girl i met at college for 2 years, she's a year younger than me. I fancied her immediately, she's beautiful. I talked 2her n we became friends, she's really cool n we are always laughing! Shed a boyfriend til 5 months ago, i didnt like him, she was always moaning about him. Ive never had a girlfriend n i am clinically obese about 100lbs overweight. Id lots of friends in school who were girls but asked a few out who said 'no'. I went to a catholic school n was taught to respect women, i want my 1st time to be wiv some1 i love n care about. Me n this girl r close, always cuddling n holding hands. I get butterflys. I told her i loved her more than just friends n she returned my feelings. We were at my house, we kissed n she took her top off, she's sexy. I was all worked up n kissed her breasts, she pulled my head up n said 'NO'! then left! I feel i did something wrong? She's not answering my calls n i miss her!
