yes, the genius guys are the ones with Mercury conjunct Uranus. it combines fast thinking and speed (mercury) and original ideas (uranus)
specially if its Gemini, its opposite ~ Saggitarius, would be a great philisopher or be enlightened.

Here's a link explaining the indications of genius in astrology:
http://www.bemyastrologer.com/genius.html
And here are a couple of links to Einstein's birth chart:

As you can see, Einstein has a singleton uranus in the third house (one of mercury's houses). His chart is a bucket pattern, meaning that all of the planets are grouped together on one side of the chart in consecutive signs except for one, the singleton, on the opposite side of the chart. Planets in the rest of the chart tend to express themselves through the singleton planet. So I'd say that's a pretty prominent uranus placement.
Also, Einstein's sun is on the cusp of the 9th and 10th houses, 9th being the house of philosophy and higher education, and long distance travel, and the 10th being the house of career. . That has to be a factor as well.
I'm sure there's more to point out, here, so I'm going to star your question, and hopefully some of my astrologically inclined contacts will take a look at the charts and add anything else that I'm not addressing.

The number of different ways that "genius" can manifest is varied. There are literary geniuses, mathematical geniuses, artistic geniuses, poetic geniuses, and many other variations on exeptional talent and achievement.
It is also necessary to distinguish between high ability and eminence. There are a great many individuals who are highly intelligent or very talented but who do not make great contributions to their field, while there are others who make great contributions but who are not particularly intelligent - James Watson, who is credited with the discovery of the structure of DNA, has an IQ of 110 - merely high average.
Given that the qualities of individual "geniuses" vary so widely, it is no suprise that there is no single astrological tag for "genius" - it is not a single quality, but a combination of many characteristics that interact in a particularly fortunate way in a given individual at a particular time and place.
In general, planets closely conjunct the Midheaven indicate that the native will be known for the qualities associated with that planet.
The T-square pattern in the chart (one planet squaring two others which are in opposition) is the most common aspect pattern found in the charts of highly successful individuals. It indicates a continuous, unresolvable tension among the areas associated with the planets in question which often acts as a source of drive in individuals with this aspect pattern.
Beyond this, the number of aspect patterns which could indicate both talent and high achievement is very large, and would be best analyzed in the context of a particular chart.

having mercury in gemini or aquarius, along with mercury stressful aspects to uranus or planets in the eleventh or third house. There are so many different ways to interpret "genius" in a chart, It's too many to name.

Here's what you should look to;
Mercury = planet that represents the mind (or the brain)
3rd/9th house = houses of education/higher education resp.
3rd/9th house ruler in aspect with Mercury or is Mercury. Then, look to the position of Mercury.
1st/Aries = know their own minds, quite intelligent
2nd/Taurus = slow, only apply what someone else taught them, don't initiate
3rd/Gemini = knowledgeable, intellectual
Etc...
Einstein's 3rd house is Virgo. So its ruler is Mercury. Mercury is obviously always conjunct itself and is in the 9th house of higher education. His Mercury is also in Aries, so he is well aware of his own mind... or was, at least.
Someone I used to know had an IQ of 186. His 3rd house is Virgo as well. Again, same thing, Mercury always conjunct itself. His Mercury was also in the analytical 6th house and the archetypical genius-sign of Aquarius.
With an IQ of 168, I myself would be considered above average intelligent. My 3rd house is Aquarius, ruler Uranus. My Uranus is conjunct Mercury in 1st house, Sagittarius. I am aware of my own mind, again. An addition to this, sometimes my ideas seem very odd and far fetched. Must be the Aquarius influence.
Anyway, you can see where this is going. Of course, an aspect between Mercury and Uranus can cause for a very unusual way of thinking, not necessarily genius.

Take another look at Einstein's and Edison's chart. And for a real clue, google Walt Disney's! Sometimes it's not what you have, but what you don't have!
