what are the add-on board for Macintosh?

They are same PCI cards that PCs do use, used to be NuBus back in the ancient days, and PCIs with Power PC coded BIOS back in the old days. Now same cards.

AGP too, I don't know if there is a new model with PCI-E.

Same as far as functionality goes.
