"If you do not bear the cross as I did, you cannot be my disciple".

What does that mean to you?

Do you pick up your cross daily?

Would you willingly die on that cross as He did?

Would you willingly make the ultimate sacrifice as He did for you, or would you run away and deny Him like Peter did?

What would you do?

I think for mature Christians, the answer is easy... for those babes in Christ, they would falter at the above.

What about you?

Many days i stumble and fall. On others I refuse to pick it up at all. Sometimes I make it almost up the hill, but as of yet, each and every day, my Lord comes and pick not only my cross, but myself up as well, and carries us both the rest of the way up Calvary. Perhaps one day I will make the journey on my own, but not yet.

What Jesus meant is that we must deny ourselves. We must resist all temptations of the flesh, we must not follow the ways of this world. It's either follow Jesus or follow the world and you can't do both.

Well, I am here after all. It's just that you are asking like one of those people who think that you have to pick up HIS cross. He didn't ask us to pick up his cross. He asked us to pick up our cross. And so as I said, "I am here."
