It almost forms like diagnal horizontal lines. Sometimes after it does this.. the computer will even restart its self. Sometimes it wont even start up after this happens.. the screen will remain black and my fan wont come on even though I get my power light - no beeping. It's about 2 years old and has been doing this for a few weeks. It's not the monitor as it does the same when I swap it. The video card is part of the mother board. It doesn't seem to do it during any particular event-completely random. I'm on xp if that matters at all.

My daughter wants a replica of the Mayfair Emerald from Anne Rice's witch trilogy, but I can't remember if the book specified a shape. I remember it was a large emerald with gold filigree surrounding it.

What is your opinion on blasphemy laws. Below is a link to an article about a group in the UK wanting to sue BBC for blasphemy.

For Americans, what do you think of the blasphemy laws that were enforced Colonial America ?

Are they still on the books but just not enforced ? Or have they been repealed ?

Do you think we should start enforcing blasphemy laws ?
If they are still on the books, but just not enforced, should we take them off the books ?

I buy fancy catnip mice, mice that vibrate and do tricks and Iggy totally ignores them. What does he play with? a brown paper bag, twistie ties from bread wrappers and the plastic rings from milk jugs! sheesh!

It takes place in So. Cal. where Hispanics are the majority in Hollywood and African Americans contribute a lot to the economy but you never see them at all, even in the background or "extras."

My boyfriend just bought a car. We have been together for almost two years and he hasn't spoken one word to his wife for just as long. He hasn't filed for a divorce yet, due to financial difficulties (the car he bought is a 1999 and the payments are very low) but does anyone know if his wife would be entitled to half of the car if he were to go file for divorce? Keep in mind they havent been together for over two years, and any judge would grant him a divorce just on the grounds that she is a prostitue and a drug user ( been arrested several times for these offenses in the past years & is the reason why he left her)

for Alaska either. Is that good business, or greed? And what we did to the Mexicans and Hawaiians for their lands?

I have a stressed marriage, but for the sake of kids we don't want to separate. A sweetheart in office in the same situation. We soothe eachother, but we don't cross the line -- stop just short of getting sexual. It gives us both a lot of happiness though one wishes for more. But is it okay? Or am I completely crazy and running away from reality?

I have built a rectangular cabinet mounted on a wall, with intended doors that are completely flush on top, sides and bottom. When I mounted the first door on internal hinges, there is now a gap by the hinge when the door closes. I must be using the wrong hinges?

I'm 25 years old, college grad 2 years ago, and still live at home with the parents in the suburbs of St. Louis Missouri.
Right now I'm grossing approx $2900 per month and taking home approx $2200.
I have no debt and $40,000 in cash.

Financially, which is the better option ?

1. buying a small fix-it-up house in the 130,000 range that I would not particularly be happy in...and then hopefully sell it off in 5 years. Having no handiman or real estate experience, I would make the necisary repars hoping to up the value and then let the real estate agent sell it. The downfall would be giving up the fees to the agent, thus washing out potential profit on appreciation.

#2. I can rent an apartment (which is also not my favorite option because I don't like confined space), but the lower rent per month would allow me to save additional cash for a better house in a few years.

Financially speaking, which sounds like the better choice in the long term???
