I think the most important thing is not to give in to the urge to throw yourself in at the deep end to start with.

It will be more effective if you start off within your tolerance limits and then slowly build up. One or two short sessions a day will do for a start. I f you overdo it, you will be sore and will be more likely to give up. Make sure you do some light weights as well so that you are losing fat and not muscle mass.

I find that I get a sore backside it I use a bike, so I have an eliptical strider and a treadmill instead. The strider is fantastic, works your arms too.

With your tummy try some light crunches, but remember that you can't spot reduce. Also it may be loose skin etc. But it doesn't hurt to try. One you can do easily is to sit on your regular chair and hunch down and forward a little, tightening your tummy muscles and holding for a short time. Also don't forget those pelvic floor excercises, because your tummy isn't the only part of you that is better and healthier for being toned.

You should see the results overall pretty quickly. Don't judge by weight but by measurements, because muscle weighs more that fat, so if you lose fat but gain muscle (which is what you should do) then you won't see it reflected as much on the scales. Good luck with it. Remember start slowly and after around 2 weeks it will become a habit. It gets easier.

The regular bike would probably be a better workout because you can do hill climbs and sprints if you want to. The stationary bike can simulate these, but it's not quite the same. Plus with a regular bike, you can pick and vary your route and enjoy the outdoors; a stationary bike tends to get monotonous. Even with a TV hooked up since there's nothing but garbage on TV!

Well I'm no expert but I would strive for 5 to 6 x a week from 15 to 30 mins. Start on the lower time and work your way up.
For your tummy you will lose the fat with any arobic exercise just start some crunches to help tighten it all up.

I am no expert, but the bike I believe will help with cardiovascular exercise and legs but I'm not sure about belly. I think you will need something for the abdominals alone. Do you have a good balance of nutrition? I think everybody takes in too many calories, so don't feel alone. Good luck.

The bike should help with your tummy as well. It should come with instructions, but I would try for at least 5 minutes at a time to begin, then as you feel stronger, add time and speed. Don`t dive right in, slow start then build up.

exercise is not the only thing that help you loose weight, it's a mix, exercise, a balanced diet and low calorie intake, you must eat less calories then you burn each day, i'd say, relax on pasta and bread, eat just what you need by nature, you protein intake must be something like... 2 medium sized beefs a day and salad oyu can eat alot, no sodas, no candy (that includes twinkies) and half hour each mornign and half hour each night of aerobic excercises (not only bike) and you should be fine, you weight loss will be directly proportional to your current weight
