Randy Moss- 1yr deal for 3 million
Junior Seau- 1yr deal for a possible 1.1million
Also Asante Samuel- 1yr deal
All 3 of these are key components to this team. Im sure Samuel is gone after this year after his holdout. Seau will most likely retire. Moss will want a bigger contract, but im sure he will resign.
The Pats will continue to be a great team, but dont expect to see a team like the 2007 Patriots soon, if ever again in the era of the salary cap.

actually this is a very good question and yes they can crumble. Take 2 teams right now in the NFL who were on top of the AFC last year. They had better records then the Colts and Patriots. Those teams are the Chargers and Ravens. The chargers have the exact same team as they did last year and look at them now. They are fighting to get into the playoffs with a 5-5 record vs last year, they had a 14-2 record. Look at the ravens, last year they had a 13-3 record. Now I believe they have a 5-5 record as well I could be wrong about that. So can the patriots crumble with the same team for next year? Yes. It's happened a lot this year mainly because I felt these teams were underrated.

Can't say who they will lose or if they will have the same offensive fire power next year. New England has a team philosophy that the team comes first. Players have forgone their personal greed for the betterment of the team. That is how they have maintained some many great players within the salary cap. This will surely end and probably soon. They will be good for some time to come, but I feel there will be a trend downward each of the years to come. Once more of their players get championship rings, they will no longer be as hungry and will then turn to their own needs and less about the teams needs. New England has had the ability to replace great players so I wouldn't count them out completely either. Didn't really answer your question, but there are so many things to consider - so many ways it can go.

to commence with I hate the Patriots, yet... The Patriots have been the suited franchise in the 2000s. and that they have been predicted to get thumped (super Bowl vs St. Louis) and characteristic been predicted to do the thumping. they have had distractions and carry outs (Ty regulation, Deion branch) and nonetheless they carry out 300 and sixty 5 days in 300 and sixty 5 days out. Tom Brady has had 4 interception video games; throwing interceptions is a factor of a quarterback's life. i do no longer think of Moss will bypass off on Tom Brady because of the fact Tom Brady is coolest quarterback under stress I even have ever considered. at some point people would be asserting issues like "Tom Brady is so hard that merely stating his call have been given Bridget Moynahan pregnant." the only way this team is going to probable disintegrate is that if something happens to Tom Brady or the protection gets banged up. The protection is beginning as much as get exceptionally up there in age: Teddy Bruschi and Rodney Harrison are not any spring chickens. Asante Samuel is a carry out. yet Billy Belicheck (sp) is a huge coach, and that they do have somewhat intensity. On precise of that their basically genuine opposition for the playoffs this season often is the Jets. however the Jets have used a great form of smoke and mirrors to conceal their holes, and the Patriots uncovered that for the time of the playoffs. The Patriots are going returned to the playoffs, yet they do no longer seem to be going to win the super Bowl.

They wont crumble they might lose a gime wich probably wont happen either but even if they do lose a game they will probly still go strong in the playoffs i mean have u seen them play theres nothing anyone can do to stop them they're too good . they will probly make it to the super bowl and tom brady will probly have an other superbowl ring by the end of the season. they just wont crumble and they have a smart staff who know who to sign and who not to sign. i mean look at what they did last year they went to thte afc championship and almost won with way less talent than they have this year so imagine this year they could easily win it. but u never know they could fall to some wild card team in the divisional playoffs. anything can happen in football. and im a broncos fan not a patriots fan.

The Pats single mindedness when it comes to preparing for the next game every week should prevent them from looking ahead and having a Pitt vs NJ style meltdown, I would not expect them to falter this year.
In the future, as long as they have their head coach and management team in place they'll continue to effectively be able to plug new players into the system and keep the strong seasons coming.

Moss will be a free agent after this season and Brady will again be an average QB.
But I think the crumbling begins this season. The supposed almighty Pats will not even make it to the SB!

They will lose soon & wouldn't be funny to lose to the Eagles who are 22 points underdogs.
