perhaps it's you in the wrong. Why hate anyone, just because they oppose you? they don't really hate you (not here anyhow) just your religious viewpoints.

There is a very good saying that the person who does not oppose a clear wrong, it is the same as if he, himself, embraces it. It isn't a matter of "hating" the source of the wrong, it's a matter of refusing to condone it by meekly doing nothing. All that happens when you "turn the other cheek" to the person who is acting wrongfully against you, is 1. encourage that person to grow in confidence that he can continue the behaviour with impunity; and, 2. get two slapped cheeks.

William Shakespeare had his Hamlet character delivering that profound sililoquy ......."To be, or not to be, that is the question... Whether it is nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune or take arms against a sea of troubles and, by opposing, end them" When you continue to suffer those slings and arrows, and do nothing, you are not the only victim of that person pelting you with the "stones and the arrows" because without a doubt that person is doing the same thing to others. Thus, you become his enabler, encouraging him to grow in confidence that he can continue to do these things not only to you but to many other people. So the right thing to do always, is the rise up and take a stand against your persecutor, and do whatever it is necessary to end his malevolent behaviour, not only for your own sake but for the sake of all the other people he is also persecuting. That kind of person rarely, if ever, singles out just one victim. Something is embedded in his character. Where it came from and how it became part of his personna who can know? But if we allow that person to believe that his destructive behaviours are acceptable and "ok" the wrong that he does, like ripples on a lake when a stone is tossed in, spread out around him to envelop many more people than just yourself.

I believe God would want us to have a peaceful and understanding attitude. It is difficult to keep your cool when faced with hate but the haters can learn so much from the way we treat them, especially if it is positive

Its something that we cant give you. You need to pray about it to The Lord. Its called unconditional love. The same love that God has for us.
