Well, I'm not engaged, and don't plan to be for....atleast 3 years lol....but I am having an argument with a friend about what a groom can decide for the wedding...

I was telling my friend(a girl) that I wanted all white flowers, and of a few specific kinds. She told me that I don't have a say because it's not about me...

Why is it a big deal if I just ask that one thing?

I have a IOU of 30K with Ms N from a legal firm, repayment of $300 for about 6years. 2 years has passed. I am very mental stress. I want to ask if there is any loophole which i can counterclaim her for any ways or get a lawyer to fight this case. Need help on how I can install my homenetwork to meet my requirements listed below:

Here are the knowns:;

1. 2 story house with a basement.
2. Cable modem comes into a closet in the basement.
3. All rooms have Cat5 and cable running that terminate in the same closet as the cable modem.

I want to achieve the following:

1. 2 PCs, NAS and a network printer in the 1st floor den that need to be hardwired into the network.
2. Also have 2 Tivos and 2 notebook computers that connect wirelessly so need to have a wireless access point in a central area, ideally the 1st floor.
3. Have a Slingbox on the 1st floor family room which require a hardwire connection to the network.

Most importantly, I want all the devices on a single network so they could all see each other.

I am confused between a switch, router and access point and what combination I should install them to achieve a single network with both wireless and hardwired connections.

I have a really small family, my mom and dad, brother (and wife) and sister (and boyfriend) plus me, these are the only people at our family holiday dinners as I have no extended family and faux family members have married off into their own families- this year my boyfriend has requested that I attend his family party for christmas eve because he feels sad we're not together over the holidays (dont' get me wrong, i do too!) but my thing is this, my family is small and getting smaller (my sister and boyfriend won't even be at this year's christmas, they'll be at his) while my boyfriend has a huge extended family that gets together in full force- I'm not going to lie, i would feel ridden with guilt and probably have a horrible time thinking of my mom and dad and brother by themselves- I'm trying to hold my family together, what am I supposed to do in these situations when I look really selfish? I tried to explain but I know that doesn't change the fact he wants me there too... help?

I bought a 20 year old house about 3 years ago. I haven't really used the fireplace, because I don't know if the chimney is clean. You cannot look down it from the roof because there's a cap on it, and you cannot see past the flu from inside. Any ideas?

I grew up in a religious family and I always hear things about being with God, salvation, day of judgement, praying, and how obsessing with religion is the only way to 'not stray from the right path'.

But over the years I re-thought everything and realize that God's divine will and whatever it is that the Higher Power has planned, isn't going to change for each and everyone of us despite prayers, rituals, whatever it is that everybody does.

The more I worry about it, the more it drives me insane. Feels like I should just live my life a day at a time, to the best that I can, and be a good person.
