I do believe the last time that a war was declared on people of creationist faith was when Mr. Hitler tried to "fight" the creationists. The better question would be, is an unprovable theory worth fighting over? Rick

Go ahead and fight me if you want too- but let me tell you- the battle is not mine, it is the Lords. However, why do you feel a need to fight me? Could it be that the reason goes much deeper than how we got here? Maybe the reason you are trying to fight us is because you do not really want to believe that there is a God that we have to answer too,- please I am not judging, just wondering.

I don't know what the situation is in Europe. It seems to me that you have fewer fundies than we have here in the States. They are hereabouts a real danger to our society and our educational system. It is not just creationism that's the problem with fundies, however, but their track record in human rights and their support for an aggressive Imperialist foreign policy.

Sure just wait a moment I have to get the lawn chairs and the popcorn. Like the new/old saying goes "I'm not a leader or a follower, I watch everything fall apart."

What do you mean by "fight creationists?" If someone wants to believe in creationism, that's their own belief to have - it does no one any harm. Silliness like having it taught in schools, however, should be fought tooth and nail.

i agree that we must fight whoever wants to create fights just for the sake of people believing in something

Why?
Are you that insecure in your belief of evolution that you have to pick fights with creationists, to try and make your self appear to be right?

No. Because I am one, and I wouldn't really like to fight with anybody.

Now, spirited debate over cookies? Absolutely.

Only if they want to try to teach their idiotic beliefs to kids, claiming that it's "scientifically valid" or something like that. Otherwise, let them wallow in their silliness; I don't care.

Yes. They are trying to pass their religious doctrine off as scientific. In doing so they undermine real science.

TOH is the best supported theory in all of science and if I hear "it's just a theory" again, I might wring someones neck.
