I'm looking for christmas gifts for my two best girl friends, and I really don't know what to get! So if you have any ideas, then could you just tell me?

Also, to give you an idea of what they might like.. Last year, I got them these slippers that you can microwave so they get warm :) and some little accessories.

When a person weighs themselves after dieting, they see that they've lost say 10lbs. But they actually don't look that much better because most of that weight was shapely muscle.

Why do people not realize the importance of decent exercise and eating enough protein to maintain muscle? Muscle speeds up the metabolism and stops your thighs and butt etc from looking saggy. I've seen people eating nothing but fruit and veg and they are thrilled with the weight loss...but then they wonder why the weight loss comes to a grinding halt and they feel weak and tired and are less toned....

I feel so disconnected from todays youth.
Although there were some differences in the way my parents grew up compared to the way I grew up, it's pretty similar.
But now, there is a generation of kids out there that have grown up in the internet age. I find them strange and without direction.
Anyone out there remember when we used to go outside to talk to our friends? When we had to use actual books for our research papers? When we would actually take the time to sit down and write someone a letter?
I'm not dissing the internet or anything, I guess I'm just missing the good old days when things were slower and simpler.
