Here are TWO particular passages that always bring tears to my eyes whenever I hear them:

1. John Field - Piano Concerto No. 3, second movement, right at the end where the piano plays a series of arpeggios against a string accompaniment---AMAZINGLY SIMPLE, YET BEAUTIFUL!!!

2. Louis Moreau Gottschalk - "El Cocoye", the second section which acts as a "trio"---SWEEEEEEEEET!!!!!

Delicious is correct of course there are no piano songs. Having said that I like Grasshoppercookies choice. But then there are many pieces of piano music that I find as moving.

If it's for piano, it can't be a song. Songs are sung and have WORDS, you know.
