My son is 18 months old. And before any of you tell me that it is too soon to teach him how to read let me just say that he already knows and recognizes all of his ABC's, numbers 1-10, and all of his colors. He already has a vocabulary of over 100 words, probably near 150. That being said I'm pretty sure that he is somewhat advanced for his age. All I need is some pointers because want to start teaching him small words (cat, dog, etc...) but I really have no idea of how to go about it. Is there anything that you parents did that helped your child learn how to read? I know he might not catch on right away, but I can go ahead and start trying. We do school everyday anyway. Thanks in advance and serious answers only please.

I recently started renting a property with my partner but we have now split. He used to pay the rent each month, which is £450 and i pay the bills, council tax, gas, elec, water, food etc and we managed ok. Now we have split and he has left i cant afford it all alone. What kind of benefits can i claim if any? I work full time at the moment.

With my daughter, I didn't count hi, mama, or dada. I counted Duck and Hot that followed within 5 minutes because tehy are actually words.
With my son, I didn't count mama, dada or ow. Yesterday he said Bye. He meant it too. But I didn't cound Hi with my daughter. What do you think? Is BYE his first word? A big piece of me is waiting for a real word. Thoughts?

You send him and his wife Christmas cards, Thanksgiving cards, and birthday cards. They nevre send me cards and they never acknowledge getting any of my cards. I always have to ask, "Did you get our card?" Then, I get a half-***, "Oh yeah, thanks".

Would you say something, keep sending as always, or stop sending them cards?

Somone who is 18 already applied to a college and shortly afwards got into trouble with the law with stolen goods over $2000. The person isn't convicted yet but most likely will in a couple of months so would this eliminate any chances of the person getting into a good college?

She is a very great child just thinks we are not fair. She works and goes 2 school. She got mad over us charging her and everyone else one dollar for a cd. I don't understand why she made a big deal out of it and now says she hates my husband(likes him when she wants something). I have been up all night trying to figure out what to say 2 her. My wife and I are attempting to potty train our 2 1/2 year old girl. So far, not a lot of success, but we haven't been at it very long. We've decided we need to quit "winging it" and find some kid of program to follow. Can anyone suggest a book or other type of potty training program that could give us some guidence?

I've tried everything I know. I've unplugged all dish network plugs and left only power supply and rabbit ear antenna to tv. I then run auto tune on tv and get 3 of the 4 local channels (& those 3 are VERY snowy). Adjusting rabbit ears helps some but nowhere enough. Am I doing this correctly? If so, why does everyone keep telling me I have to tune to some "-1 or -2" version of the channel to get HD? How do I do this? Is that if I was going through the dish network box? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

If you notice, people that dont like Cristiano for SURE likes Lionel Messi, a nasty 5 foot tall argentine leprochuan with long unwashed hair. The reason for that is Lionel Messi makes you feel good about yourself just like Wayne Rooney, its like 'their rich and good but THEY ARE UGLY' so you feel a bit taller(literally, since its rooney and messi) But with Cristiano its like heres this 6'1 model looking pretty boy that belongs on a runway but is destroying all these 'MANLY athletes' you dont feel so good. Just like the way people use to hate becks when he was with man Utd, cuz he was goldenballs and you know he makes your girl wet. Now Cristiano is simply Becks with step overs and more goal scoring abilities. And no its not the reason he plays for Man Utd, Cristiano can play for Barca or Real, the hate will continue because of his looks.

I had this friend big christian huge bible basher and even though she often told me i was a sinner and going to hell we had loads of fun, she loved the gay bars i took her too and we often went and pretended to be a couple so no one would hit on her, we had the best friendship (apart from the odd "ur going to hell" thing)

I even went to her church once and her and her friends aboshed me with their bibles telling me I was a sinner....and i brushed it off cos i loved her and she always told me she loved me (10 years of friendship)

but one day...my mate is trans and basically she adored him (FTM) couldnt support him more and i questioned "y do you totally support him...but not me being gay??" and she said " I love God, but i do believe mistakes are made and people are put into the wrong bodys" but when i questioned my gender she done a total U turn and said i was wrong etc etc...that ended the friendship finally...but why did she react so badly?? she said she was supportive?? help!
