Some foods we eat have more calories than we thought. For example, a slice of pecan pie I thought has 200 calories turns to be 700 calories. Or a 150-calorie slice of pizza turns out to have 500 calories.

And eating 5 to 9 servings of fruits and vegetables everyday to be healthy seems high standard. How frequent we exercise (30 minutes a day for most days of the week) seems too much for most people.

I don't want to take it out of the oven for another 40 minutes... if I do I will let all the heat out of the oven... then I will have to cook longer... ugh. its a 22 lb turkey.

I am fed up with a fan of mine. They are so annoying and answer all my questions either critically, negatively or suggestively. Should Iblock them? I don't want to hurt anybody but seriously they are sooo obnoxious.

I just started a new job and my boss is controlling and power hungry. She has little tact and I've seen her bully almost all of her "subordinates".

None of them really call her on her behavior (she's the boss - what can you do, right?)

So far she's been okay with me but the act is starting to fade.

I know mean bosses aren't anything new but does anyone have any advice on what I can do to prevent being her next victim?

I have two pans that I think are enamel, they're white on the inside and everything sticks. I just tried to cook some bacon pieces and even they stuck so bad I had to use oven cleaner to get it off. The last time I used one, I was boiling pasta and it stuck very badly as well.

I sleep on my stomach, I always have. Since i've been ttc, i've try to stay on my side or back, but I always wake up to find that i've rolled over onto my stomach. Is this going to affect ttc, or harm a possible pregnancy in the early stages? (because obviously once I do get pregnant and begin to grow, it will hurt to sleep on my stomach - so I won't be doing it then). But, early on and ttc is that harmful?

Most of us have realized the power and deliverance in forgiving those who have wronged us but there are times and circumstances in which we must forgive ourselves before we can peacefully move on with our lives. Can you forgive yourself as readily as you forgive others?
I personally believe that forgiveness is a major key to true freedom - whether it means forgiving others or forgiving ourselves.

Tanya carried out an experiment in which she placed some iron wool into some blue copper sulphate solution.
In her book she wrote:
"I predict that the iron will react with the copper sulphate because iron is higher than copper in the reactivity series. I think that i will see some colour changes"

1) Describe the two colour changes Tanya would see that would show her prediction is correct.

2) Complete this word equation for the reaction:
iron + copper sulphate =

3) Tanya then repeated the experiment with zinc in place of iron. Compare the result you would expect to the result for iron.

All answers and explanations are much appreciated. Thanks

The article said " the most notorious atheist " has converted at age 84. It said it was because of his DNA or a condition called " aphasia "....certainly not simple faith given by Jesus of course. What next ? These guys have us with a tricky DNA that gives us faith or if youre old its " aphasia ". What next if we dont buy that ? Nose hair ? Do you guys have nose hair faith ? LOL

. . . to personally remember the mid to late Sixties. If The Beatles had released Sgt. Pepper a year or so later, would we now be talking about other albums from that time that would have had more of an impact on the music scene? This thought came to mind as I scanned across "Head" by The Monkees (seriously) this morning in my collection.

Something along the lines of these albums...(or something different)

Bill Evans-Sunday Afternoon at the Village Vanguard
Jim Hall-Live
Thelonious Monk-Underground
Ben Webster-At the Renaissance
Lee Konitz-Another Shade of Blue
Sheila Jordan-Portrait of Sheila Jordan.

I don't mind if it gets loud at times, as long as it has a quiet interspective, explorative vibe to it. Anything good to chill to is good for me.
