Why ... Silver Balls of course!
OH WAIT! That's not right is it? OK .. hold on ... it's coming to me ... Oh yea ... it's Silver BELLS. Whew. Silly me.
No not really ... I can't stand that song! LOL
My favorite Christmas song of all time is by one of my singing idols Trisha Yearwood. You may not hear it on the radio - unless it's a country station - but I guarantee if you heard it it would become one of your very favorites too. Her voice is amazing and the lyrics ... .well they convey my sentiments exactly ...
Here they are ...
~ Take A Walk Though Bethlehem ~
The city's decorated up for Christmas
All the stores are open late tonight
People hurry through the frozen streets
I take a walk...
Every child has a thousand wishes,
Every window has a thousand lights.
Every soul has a need for peace ...
I take a walk...
There's a star that still outshines the night
You can find it if you close your eyes ...
And see the light ...
Take a walk, through Bethlehem
Come and kneel before the lamb
Good news for every man ...
Walk through Bethlehem
Every night another T.V. special
Merchants counting down the shopping days
But somethings missing underneath the tree
I take a walk...
'Cause every heart longs for more than tinsel,
Something more than just a holiday ...
Come and celebrate the baby king
Lets take a walk ...
You don't have to travel anywhere,
Faith and hope and love will bring you there
Bring you there ...
Take a walk through Bethlehem
Come and kneel before the lamb
Good news for every man
Walk through Bethlehem
Take a walk ...
Take a walk through Bethlehem ..
Come and kneel ... fades away
If you don't have it or have never heard of it you can find Trisha's very first Christmas album on Amazon ... you would NOT be disappointed GEM. You don't have to like country either ... it's one of the MOST beautiful albums I own and you can listen to it over and over again. It's worth every penny just for this song and a song called "The Sweetest Gift" about a mother's love.
Hey .. here's a link even ... there are a lot available for a terrific price in the sellers market!

Peace to you sweet friend! =)

I like the traditional songs, but I love Cyndi Lauper's Early Christmas Morning.
