I have two pans that I think are enamel, they're white on the inside and everything sticks. I just tried to cook some bacon pieces and even they stuck so bad I had to use oven cleaner to get it off. The last time I used one, I was boiling pasta and it stuck very badly as well.

They have sentimental value and I don't want to get rid of them. I was just hoping to utilize them and not just store them away. I do cook with cast iron too, just really thought there should be a way to make these useable.

No- seasoning is for cast iron.

Enamel has it's place however, and is good for QUICK heating- boiling water, heating canned goods.. to cook something like bacon in it, you would need to cook SLOW and render lots of fat. or put some cooking spray in first.

I just got a huge dutch oven (enamel). I love it. It retains heat well and there is no off color or taste when you cook in it. I love my cast iron, too but for other things.

Unlike cast iron, you do not need to season your enamel cookware. Just wash it in hot soapy water and dry.
