It's my best friends birthday soon. We've been best friends for 11 years. She's turning 11, I'm also 11. That means she's been my best friend since birth. I know lots of things she'll like but I can't decide. It's been a tradition for me to give her a teddy bear but I'm scared she's grown out of it. I always gave her a bear and she always loved it. Lately she's been changing though. Becoming a bit meaner. We are TOTAL opposites. I'm a bookworm and she loves sports. I love Harry Potter and she hates it. She's sort of a tomboy. So is something like a teddy bear still a good idea?

'Happy Holidays'
Surely, this is the ultimate expression of conservative, right wing, capitalist consumerism.
'Merry Christmas' excludes a lot of potential sales... from non-christians , who will also be celebrating Hannukah, or Eid or even just New Year.

ie, if you are selling cards you may sell 10 million 'christmas' cards - but you may sell 13 million cards if you change the greeting to something non-denominational

capitalists hate to miss a sale

so why is 'happy holidays' always blamed on the liberal PC brigade?

I made out with a guy a week ago but I just now remembered my lips were a bit chapped and I might have a canker sore (but was at the end of it)...should I worry about HIV?

I just got tested (negative) but am scared to wait 3 months despite all I've read about the small chances of this happening...

whats the real deal with mass media, all I ever hear is you only a mouthpiece for the establishment, is this true, and if it was why wouldn't you report it? apathy? fear of job loss? I feel the only place to get "real news" is the daily show/corbet report. You know "the fool is the only person who can be honest in the kings court" kind of thing.
Where is a really good news source?

Although I think he should recieve one, in a humane society as ours is, I would be very upset if my loved one was donating today and it was going to him.
What about you?

I watched a documentary this morning about David Icke, who believes that all the world leaders are actually decendants of the bloodline of an ancient extra-terrestrial race of reptilians.
Is there anyone else who actually believes this?

I mean, try to see where I am coming from if you can, look at your religion objectively. Does it not seem to you like something very privative people have come up with out of trying to explain the world around them and its origins? You have virgin births, men ascending to heaven on flying horses, boats that contained 2 of every living animal, burning bushes, people walking on water, I could go on and on. I just want to know, how can you possibly think any of it is true?
