I cashed my student loan check ($3,000) and I took it to the bank.. well my co-signer doesn't live here and he signed it and mailed it back to me but wasn't present when I cashed it.. when I took it to the bank, they accepted it but are placing it on a 2-5 business day "hold".. What does this mean?

I put in canned yams, sugar, brown sugar, salt, raisins, spiced rum, apple pie spice, toasted pecans, and vanilla. It's a new recipe and I want to see if anyone thinks it sounds good. I can stick in some coconut if it would help. I boiled them till the liquid reduced.

I'm curious in seeing some opinions on a hypothetic situation. If the U.S. government tried to start passing laws against hate speech stating that it wasn't protected by the first amendment, how would you react?

Would you care? Would you see it as infringing on 1st amendment rights or a necessary step? Would you protest it (either online or in the street)? For that matter - would you be scared you'd be branded as a racist if you protested it?

Just curious.

I am just wondering if I am missing something here with my hubby- as he seems to beleive that paying the house bills, buying groceries and letting me use his car is showing me he loves me. BUT I dont equate love with material things but with emotional things, like romatic gestures, sending me cards, buying me flowers, writing me email poems and affection like hugs and kisses, backrubs and sharing our thoughts each day. I am way off base thinking I should have these things to feel loved?

..... I am afraid I am not bright enough.

I am in the 10th grade and my average is 87%, and I feel like I don't have a chance, with med school being so competitiveand all.

My mom is a doctor and I feel like an idiot next to her, I know she is older and has lots more educations but she bugs me about her 94% average that she got in grade 10.


With my grades, do I at least have a chance of getting into pre-med courses?


(ya, I know, every kid in the world has pretty much wanted to be a doctor at some point but I couldn't see myself being anything else other than a doctor or maybe nurse. I've pretty much scoured all my moms old textbook and loved every minute of it)

I have this camera and recently the lens seems to have got damaged and the images I take are very distorted, so much that nothing can be made out of it. I want to know if this can be repaired and any idea how much it should cost, I like this camera quite as it is my first and would like to see it working all the way

I've had large amounts of blood follow my stool each time I use the restroom. I'm not sure exactly how much blood there really is but the toilet bowl water is pretty much red. It's been happening for about a week now and I'm getting worried. Yesterday was the only exception as I saw no blood int he stool, however it has reoccurred again today. I saw a physician and he was unable to find any trace of blood with the equipment he had. He suggested I go see a gastroenterologist but the earliest available appointment is next Tuesday. I'm pretty anxious and scared and was wondering if this is a serious issue that should be taken care of sooner. Please let me know if you have any knowledge of this issue.
