I downloaded a TV series today and the files have come through as .bin files, which I have learnt I need to convert. I have tried to download vdcgear but it doesn't seem to work. Does anyone know how I can watch my download? Also I'm running on vista, in case it makes any difference! Thanks!

.bin is a Cd/dvd Image format. You can use a program like MagicISO to burn or extract them.

If you wish to burn your media files to CD/DVD, might I suggest you take a look at the following FREE programme. It's called ImgBurn, and it is able to burn files with the following extensions:

*.bin; *.cdi; *.cdr; *.di; *.dvd; *.gcm; *.gi; *.img; *.iso; *.lst; *.mds; *.nrg; *.pdi; *.udi

I've found it to be a great programme that does what it claims to, with no problems.

You'll either need to scroll down the page a little to find the download link, or use the one at the top of the page.

Oh yes, I forgot to mention. It is, apparently, Vista compatible though I can't confirm that myself as I'm still using XP.

It's an image of a disc. You should burn it with Nero as a VCD and play it back on your DVD player if it supports VCD or you can play it on the computer with software like Media Player Classic. If you don't want to burn it you could mount it to a virtual drive using software like Daemon Tools.
