Just moved into a new rental. The toilet flushes completely (i.e. makes the nice gargling sound at the end of the flush, with almost all of the water out of it) only once every few flushes. The rest of the time it will only partially flush and leave tp and extra water in the bowl. If I then try to use a plunger only some of the time does it seem like I am able to dislodge it. The rest of the time plunging it decreases the water level, and then after the resevoir fills it then will completely flush the next time I depress the lever. Holding the lever down until the water line has completely dropped does not seem to massively help. Any advise other than replacing the toilet?

I’m looking to buy a British bulldog, they are pretty expensive I’ve seen adds on a website call mercattel.com, with bulldog puppies to adopt for free. Does anyone know if this is some kind of scam, I’ve only been able to email these people there is no contact number. I’ll be making a 5-hour drive to even see the puppies. Just though someone out there might know.

My harmonica is a C Hohner Silver Star. If I bend on the first, it bent (without tilting). But when I tried the same technique on the 2,3 and 4 hole it's exactly the same with the normal draw. Is it my technique or the harmonica is broken? When I try tilting the harmonica and drew hole two it made a screeching sound...

An Irish tourist who claimed he was 99.9% certain he saw Madeleine in Bosnia has been proved wrong.

Didnt that lady in Belgium who 'spotted' Madeleine also claim she was 99.9% certain it was Madeleine?

Well that's remarkable odds to dodge bullets that 999 times out of a 1000 would hit their marks, not just once but twice. Even the lottery has better odds.

I wish people would stop with the 'certainty' with which they claim to have spotted Madeleine. Gerry and Kate already know she is dead, they must be laughing at these fools who think they have spotted her.

I bought an old mondeo with the intention of taking the engine out and using it for a project i had. Since then my work van has died and i need a car and was wondering if i could put the mondeo back on the road. When i bought it the guy sent the V5 off to say it had been scrapped. Can it be put back on the road? How would i go about it? Is it going to cost a bit of money as i only paid £80 for it and dont really want to spend much? Cheers everyone

I've just finished high school. It's not a big deal that i'm leaving my last school because this is my 6th school so far. I know a lot of people, but I only have one true friend.

I've been through quite a bit. I've been abused and hurt and seen things that 10 year olds shouldn't see. I was also raped I've had serious injuries to my back, neck and ankles.

I'm going to University next year so I hope to start all fresh. I need to know how I can put this all behind me because my past if screwing up my future. I'm trying to not let it.

How do I put the bad memories behind me? I've tried counselling, meditation, writing, trying not to give them importance etc..

There are only two things I don't regret in my life. The thing is I have to give up one of those in order to get the other. I try talking to people but I don't know where to start and it brings up even more things!

I'm almost 18 by the way.

A question I just answered prompted me to ask this. Why don't people blame their spouse when they cheat? Why do they blame the other man/woman? Is it just so they can hold on to their spouse? I'm not saying you shouldn't hate the other person. Of course, you're going to. But isn't it your spouse who wronged you? What if the other person didn't even know about you? The question said something about a woman trying to take your man away by purposely getting pregnant to him. Isn't that just as much his fault? Why do you think people do this?

(I will admit, this makes me angry. I think it's weak and that people do it because they are afraid of losing their spouse; they can't face they've already lost them, at least in the moment.)

...when he knew she would? For that matter, why even issue the ten commandments if he's known forever whether or not we would follow them?
Isn't it kind of like telling a hungry dog "don't eat the dog food", then punishing it when it ultimately does so.
I am NOT trying to insult, it's just that questions like these have always made me think.
