looks like arod is off the market. and cabrera has better d and they dont need an outfielder although his d and 30+ hrs will be nice, but they need a 3rd aseman thats why they're mostly after those 2. i think they'll get him cause they have been talking with the marlins since last season and i know what they will have to give up, but to get a great player youll have to give up pretty good ones on the rise. and for those who think they will make lame moves then ur not true fans.

I don't see any of the three coming to the Dodgers.

I would love to see Miguel Cabrera in a Dodger uniform but the asking price is just ridiculous. In any Cabrera deal, they would have to give up Clayton Kershaw or Scott Elbert (possibly the two best lefties in the minors now) along with Matt Kemp (or Andy LaRoche) and Chad Billingsley to get the young 3B, who has tendency of weight problem as well as being a clubhouse plague. If the Marlins drop their price before Thanksgiving (which is not likely going to happen), then there something to talk about.

Andruw Jones might be the ideal player to wear a Dodger uniform. The market for him is kind of limited right now because of his horrible season and the fact that he's represented by Scott Boras. The Dodgers do got the money now that A-Rod is off the market and solving their offensive woes begins with Andruw. He just won his 10th Gold Glove at CF, something that Juan Pierre never was. Jones brings the protection that Kemp and Loney needs in the lineup and not rely on Russell Martin to carry the offense as he did last season. The transistion for Jones should be smooth because he potentially goes from one pitcher park to another while staying in the NL. Jones get another great manager from Booby Cox to Joe Torre while also having a great hitting coach in Don Mattinly to get his swing going again. The Dodgers are going to be over the tax threshold anyway, but Jones should be consider a discount over A-Rod with the abundance of CF in the market.

Fact: the last time Jones hit under 30 HR, he blasted 51 the next season, something to consider about. Jones last contract was w/o the help of Boras, but he might need it this time around and Boras is free to market Jones with A-Rod off the market.

Here's the projected lineup by my POV by Opening Day:

1) Rafael Furcal, SS
2) Juan Pierre, LF
3) James Loney, 1B
4) Andruw Jones, CF
5) Jeff Kent, 2B
6) Russell Martin, C
7) Andre Ethier, RF
8) Andy LaRoche, 3B

Key Bench:
3B Nomar Garciaparra
2B Tony Abreu
OF Matt Kemp
SS Chieng-Mien Hu
PH Mark Sweeney

I don't know about getting arod now. And I really don't want them to trade for Cabrera, have you seen who they're asking for! That's ridiculous.

they'll talk big, but not end up with anyone. They'll wind up overpaying for Mark Hendrickson-types
