Im 17 going to be 18 in april and im so scared to go to a obyn. Iv been having nightmares that past few nights about it and i think im more worried about being embarrassed with family knowing than actually going. At 18 is their any way i can go without my parents knowing or having to pay for it? My mom is more like perverted to make jokes and comments about going and she'll do it infront of people like my grandfather and stuff that really embarasses me and with my dad thats just really embarrassing. I just got a new kitten and when we get her fixed, we were going to only get her front claws declawed. Only because I have a dog, and my dog loves cats, but we feel that if she scratches my dog, my dog might not understand. We did it with our last cat, and they got along great, except my cat started peeing everywhere after she was declawed. We just heard that it was because we declawed her? Is it true? Will that always happen? And will my new cat do anything else?

Here is my situation. I am a 23 year old male and I normally do not get my flu shot. As a paramedic, it is recommended, but they cannot force us, and I have chosen not to in the past. I am often harrassed and looked down on by my co-workers who think I am being selfish by not getting one since I work so closely with older sick people who could die from it. However, I counter with the fact that the flu shot is not exactly protection against the flu, and the two years I did get it I ended up getting the flu twice as bad as normal.

However, this year is a bit different... my mother is going through chemotherapy for breast cancer. I will be going to see her for Christmas and she will be on her last chemo treatment by then. She and my father got a flu shot but she wants me to get one also. I really, really am leaning towards no since I am only going to be there for 4 days

Am I being unethical? Is it wrong to feel upset at being forced to do this? I feel it should be a personal choice

Sub-standard teachers should be removed from schools to make way for better colleagues, a key government education adviser has suggested.
Sir Cyril Taylor said there were about 17,000 "poor" teachers in England.
They were unable to control classes and were damaging the education of about 400,000 children, he told the BBC.
But head teachers said it was sometimes difficult to recruit good staff, while teachers said their job was made harder by issues such as paperwork.

do you agree that "poor" teachers should be sacked, who will teach the classes without them, do we have any "good teachers"

Swimming in our back yard pool when you feel the need to pee. Of course you hop out, but it's so much work to get dried off and then go into a cold bathroom and fight with your suit. Have you ever just peed outside somewhere?

Like near a bush or behind the garage or something?

I have a friend who writes off restaurant bills for her business (whether she actually talks about her business or not is not really the issue). Every week we go out to eat, with other friends or just ourselves. After everyone pays their share of the bill, she'll take the bill and write off the ENTIRE sum - not just her share.

Is everyone entitled to their share of the tax refund? Everyone pays, of course, including my friend. But she's the one who eventually gets the tax refund for her share of the meal AND everyone else's. I casually asked her about getting part of that refund and she said no. Twice she's done this at more expensive restaurants, but I'm afraid that this will become a regular occurence, regardless of how expensive the meal is.

Is this fair? Should I confront her again? Is there a way I can pay for my meal WITHOUT her writing off what I think is my (and anybody else's) share of the meal? How do I avoid this but continue to dine with her without feeling ripped off?
