Lucifer means light-bearer.

The first story of the devil is about love.
Lucifer was in love with God so much he wanted to be one with God (no this isn't in the bible).
He didn't want to take over as God.
Anyway, God thought this was a perversion and cast him out of heaven.
But now you have the Bible version, which puts god in a better light.
Can't have a God of love if he rejects it now can you.

Has anyone ever question why Lucifer is the light bearer, he never lost his title you know.

In modern Christianity Lucifer was one of the most important heavenly beings kind of like Gabriel, but then he became jealous of God and wanted to be God so formed a group of angels together and tried to override God but of course he was not able to so was cast out of heaven along with the other angels, he then became known as Satan and now him and his angels try to stop Gods will being done on earth. One day he will be thrown into an eternal pit of fire that God created for him and his angels but sadly some people may end up ther also.

Um, the devil. Yes, he tends to get a bit of bad press, being the epitome of evil and all.

Lucifer is another name for Satan, the name he took after betraying God and trying to wage war in Heaven. He is basically THE biggest idiot ever. I mean, he was right-hand man of God and just threw it all away over male pride. :/

It is my opinion that God created Lucifer in an attempt to duplicate Himself. When Lucifer saw how powerful he himself was, he then tried to challenge God Himself. Of course, Lucifer failed since that attempt of God only proved just how powerful (omnipotent) God really is and was. But that is also why Lucifer is still a very powerful being even today. Give credit where credit is due.

Lucifer was once an angel in Gods Kingdom that wanted to be above God, that thought He could rule over God, that wasn't going to happen, God sent lucifer and his fallen angels down to the earth, Lucifer disqused himself as a serpent and tricked Eve into eating fruit from the tree of knowledge that God had told Adam and Eve they can eat from any tree but not that one, they had everything but instead they listened to the serpent,
Satan is still roaming the earth, see, Jesus Christ hasn't came back yet, when Jesus does, those that know Jesus will meet Him in Heaven and those that don't will be left, Satan and all his demons will be thrown into the firery pit, anyone that is not saved.
You see the world is like this today, its sort of like thier is still that tree, God tells us not to eat from, that would be sin, but God told us there is a way to change this around there is a way that we can be saved, If we believe in Jesus Christ, and know that is the only way to not have sin anymore, to turn from sin, and repent, to ask for forgiveness, it is almost like the tree of life sort of, If we believe in Jesus Christ as our savior then we will have eternal life with The Lord, if we don't and continue to eat from satans tree of sin, we will be paying the wages for our sins, with satan, instead of accepting forgiveness for them from Jesus Christ, Jesus came as the sacrifice to that cross out of mercy and love for us, and we cannot earn it by any good works we may do, only through our belief in Jesus Christ as our savior.

No Lucifer is the Archangel who revolted against the will of God and thought he knew better, taking one third of the angels with him. Whoooo we that's a lot of fallen angels.
Anyhow Satan is often mistaken for Lucifer. He was only a lieutenant in the army of Lucifer. He is not a rapper BTW. :)

satan, the devil, god of this world, father of lies.

Joh 8:43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
Joh 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

2Co 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
2Co 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
