Concise Writting
Rewrite the following 97-word paragraph, keeping all its ideas but reducing the number of words. Try to use no more than 40 words.


We would like to meet face to face with our old rivals, but they still regard us in a way that shows a lack of confidence. We understand their frame of mind. They have a fierce sense of their own worth and dignity. They are short of temper. But when others have suffered, they have not been without concern, interest, or feeling. The feeling of ill will that they have had toward us has to a large extent diminished. We might become friends. A year ago, such a possibility would have have seemed too extraordinary to be believed.


Now write your version on the lines below. The first sentence has been rewritten to help you get started.

I just got a new job (yay for me!) and am filling out my W-4 for the first time since graduating college and not being a dependent. For exemptions, I've always claimed 0 on line "H" but would like to get more money back each paycheck because I'm on a tight budget.
I'm pretty sure I can put 3 exemptions:
1 for line "A" that no one else can claim me as dependent;
1 for line "B" single with one job, and
possibly 1 for head of household.

I am not sure about the head of household though. I live by myself and most of my income goes towards rent and utilities but I am not a homeowner.

So really I have two questions.
(1) Can I claim being head of household?
(2) Which will get the least taken out of my paycheck, 0 exemptions or 2-3 exemptions? Or just 1 exemption?

I do know I'll get hit harder in April, but by then, I will have more money to pay it whereas now I need more each paycheck.

it really angers me when i hear people say that either they dont believe that it happened, or they dont believe that it was that severe of a event... i just want to know what proof do they have to even begin to rebuttle the numerous pictures, survivors, and evidence that are in the world to support the fact that it did happen? I want to write a paper on it and i just want to know what they think so i can effectively prove it wrong

Im 2 days ove due, and I want him to come out like today. My doctor sayed that she can induse my labor on saturday, but only if the hospatial has a room for me to stay in. So I need to know what I can do. I have been walking streaching and doing all that, I just cant have sex cause my husband is not around right know, so what else can I do??? PLEASE HELP!!!! please dont talk about marriage, because as you all know, that is something man invented as oppossed to sex.
about their body not being prepared for it, well people, you sure know nothing about the human body.
about them being ignorant about sex and about using a condom, etc, well, thats of course true, but that can be arranged, how? by EDUCATING THEM.
and about not being ready for sex, well, its true, alot arent ready t handle it, but lets face it, sex isnt just for marriage and neither only for love, sex is fun, sex hurts no one if you know what youre doing, its part of OUR INSTINCTS.
I can tell you, I had sex when I was 13, and I keep having sex with alot of girls now, I just have a rule, never lie, never manipulate and make someone believe you love them when you dont, because thats what hurts, and I know Ive been hurt that way, but free fun sex has never hurt me, and neither was the 12 year old girl who I slept with when I was 13 hurt, were even still friends

I got a photo radar tickey on the freeway here in Scottsdale, AZ and I threw it away like most people, everyone told me that nothing would happen, and they were right...I think?
