She's 37, left high school her senior year, got married two months later, got pregnant that month, and has been a homemaker/mother for 18 years. Her kids are now 17 and 14. She has never worked and has no job skills and limited knowledge of a computer. She takes care of one infant in her home every day for 5 hours and doesn't make much. My concern is that if her husband were to die before she can collect his Social Security, she will be screwed and dependent on family. It is not a life I could ever live but she is happy being in the home. I don't see it as secure. Being a SAHM/housewife is fine IF you have the ability to earn a living should you need to. My mother was a 1970's housewife and abused and I made my own way in the world and lived on my own from age 17-31 before I got married because I never wanted to "have" to stay with someone because of money.

I want her to see how important it is that she get out and get a GED and skills BEFORE she needs it. How???

My 5 year old son licked a piece of jerky so his 10 year old brother would not eat it on him. Is this some "GUY" thing I need to know about?
Peace.

I am female 5'9, 19 years old and i weight about 140 pounds. I walk/light jog for 30 minutes and exercise at a moderate pace for 15-20 minutes on the elliptical trainer about 4/5 times a week. Sometimes i swim for half an hour too... but i seem to have hit a weight loss plateau. I know my diet is ok because i lost some weight, but now i seem to have stopped. Im trying to lose 5/6 pounds. I wonder if it could be that i added carbs back to my diet? just special K cereal in the mornings (1 cup with non fat milk) and 2 small slices of whole grain bread each day. I dont really eat carbs after 6pm, i usually have protein and veggies for dinner. I just really want to get rid of these 5/6 pounds, should i cut out the carbs?

Their last name will be Green, after their father, so please list whole names, including those that go well with the last name. My name starts with an A, and their fathers starts with a D, if that would help any. Heres a few names that I thought of, and let me know what you think of them.

Was the bid to Impeach President Clinton successful? President Clinton was brought through the Impeachment process, but he was found not guilty of any crimes, he then was censured for lying under oath about a sexual liaison with an intern who was a willing participant in the affair. There was no evoked power to remove him from office, he served out his term and in fact would have been eligible for seeking re-election if it had not already been his second term. So why would Conservatives want to portray this Impeachment historically as successful? I would say that historical record should indicate clearly that the defendant was found not guilty and therefore the Impeachment by the prosecution was unsuccessful. In the arraignment process of felonious crimes a grand jury would be presented with evidence to determine if the defendant should be arraigned and tried for crimes, if the out come of that trial failed to produce a guilty conviction there would be no record.

When i first filed for Chapter 13 bankrupt i was told that the law firm fees will be $2,500 and $90 for the over the telephone financial counselor , for a total of $2,590.00 . My attorney lost the case and said not to worry I'll just re-filed your case. So i signed all of the documents without reading them ( i thought i could trust my attorney no need to read) , well i got had. Now the same law firm tells me i owe them an additonal $3,550 so in all I would have paid them totally $6,000.00 and the financial consultants /counselors a total of $140.00. so in all i am out of $6,140.00. In the begining all of my bills only came to $10,300 which included my 2nd mortage and credit cards.
I know i signed the papers without reading but is there any re-course. I really feel i been had. Now i am in debt for much more and all the payments are going to the Trustee to pay all of my bills which is fine but I hope someone can help me understand this better and at least give me some hope.

I have read many answers to questions where many atheist express that just because they are atheist does not mean they have to be an expert in science, even though they put their trust in it. They believe in scientific discoveries and theories, even if they really don't understand them...is this correct?

I'm making a waterwall out of ABS pipe.

I cut the pipe into lengths, between 1 foot and 1.5 feet. I primed them with a plastic spray primer, then I painted them with a metallic spray paint. Now I need to stack them one on top of each other.

I though I could just glue them with pipe cement. It worked BEAUTIFULLY on my test piece which was unpainted. I tried it on my painted pipes, but there was a chemical reaction, the dried paint smeared off, it burnt my skin (just a wee little bit) and now it doesn't stick. I even tried sanding off a strip on the two pipes, but the cement still didn't hold.

How can I stack these pipes?
