My 5 year old son licked a piece of jerky so his 10 year old brother would not eat it on him. Is this some "GUY" thing I need to know about?

Boys are so different from girls.....but I have seen children do this, it wouldn't be pretty if I did it......a little old lady licking the last piece of cake.....lol....not so pretty

I can't recall if I ever did that. When I used to work my old job @ the daycare all of my fellow workers used to do that so no one would eat their food, my boss would tell them that that was gross! One day, I made cupcakes & brought them in & there were 4 left ( that I put aside for my boss) & everyone was saying they were going 2 eat them, so my boss picked them up 1 @ a time & licked them. It was the funniest thing ever!!! We still laugh about it!

I'm a girl, and I've done it before...
but it was when I lived in the dorms and a bunch of girls kept eating my ice cream lol.
I had a terrible cold at the time and I'm pretty sure I was delirious but I made a very public statement as I licked the ice cream and put in back in the freezer.

This is a child thing to lay claim on the food fast...looks like some adults also do it in a mischievous sense...well, it shows true that there is a playful child within us even as adults...don't go overboard though lest it becomes a nuisance.

No; it's just a human child being the animal that he is - plain old competition. Maybe you should purchase MORE jerky, if your children feel the need to compete for it.

yeah I did once, I was 4 years old and my sister was 9, what hapenned was my sister, and I bouth wanted the last cookie. So i charged at the table ( I ran into it) I grabed the cookie and licked it. Then my sister grabed it out of my hand and ate it anyways. Now that I am older me, and my sister look back at that and say " we were so weird "

LOL no, it's not a guy thing. I'm a 14yr old girl and I do it to my siblings all the time.LOL

No, I can't say I have ever done that. I have seen it done in the movies and TV. In our household, I don't think anyone would have minded eating after anyone else, though. Peace

No..not a guy thing. We don't care whose licked it. If we want it, we eat it. Same thing with food dropped on the floor, or the ground. LOL
