a month back I received a marketing call from a travel agent called "Discount premium club" and they managed to convince me to sign up for a two year membership worth £89 by promising to offer huge discounts on holiday packages. after signing up, whenever I call up the customer service, it is always put on hold and nobody picks up the call. I was frustrated by their customer service. I wanted to book flight tickets from them, but they never respond promptly. once or twice luckily I got hold of one of their call centre people and they told me they will get back in an hour, but ignored it again. I even tried sending emails to cancel membership, all my emails and calls are ignored. Is there anything I can do to get back my money?

I was just wondering, if I were to pay someone to drywall this room for me, the whole room including the ceiling, how much would be a reasonable price to pay? Thanks!

Only when I eat a low carb breakfast. I don't feel hungry or anything like that. My feet are just cold. And I know it's not the temperature.

“Nobel Peace laureate Al Gore believes global warming is ‘an inconvenient truth.’ Here are some economic truths that America’s liberal leadership finds too inconvenient to support. Tax-rate reductions increase tax revenues. This truth has been proved at both state and federal levels, including by President Bush’s 2003 tax cuts on income, capital gains and dividends. Those reductions have raised federal-tax receipts by $785 billion, the largest four-year revenue increase in U.S. history. In fiscal 2007, which ended last month, the government took in 6.7% more tax revenues than in 2006. These increases in tax revenue have substantially reduced the federal-budget deficits. In 2004 the deficit was $413 billion, or 3.5% of gross domestic product. It narrowed to $318 billion in 2005, $248 billion in 2006 and $163 billion in 2007. That last figure is just 1.2% of GDP, which is half of the average of the past 50 years. Lower tax rates have be so successful in spurring growth that the percentage of federal income taxes paid by the very wealthy has increased... Finally, another inconvenient truth is that there have been 49 consecutive months of job growth as a result of the economic expansion induced by President Bush’s 2003 tax rate reductions.” —Pete du Pont

An office manager had too much to drink at a party and embarassed himself in front of his boss. His wife recalled the events the following morning.
You're behavious was atrocious. At one point you went straight up to your boss and started poking him in the stomach whilst hurling abuse at him, she said.

Are you serious, he replied.

Yes. Your colleagues were shocked, she said.

Well, said the husband, it serves him right, he's an a*sehole. Piss on him!

You did, said the wife, and he sacked you.

Really. Well fu*k him.

I did, said the wife calmly. You're back at work on Monday.

My daughter is 6 1/2 months old. I used to be able to lay her on top of me until she fell asleep and then put her to bed. This is after she found out how to get out of being swaddled. She is always so active that she will constantly move until she can't fall asleep. Now naptime has almost become unbearable. Everything else goes undone because she takes three naps a day and plus putting her to bed at night, by the time I get her to sleep, I am so afraid to clean in fear I will wake her up. If she goes without a nap or I try the "crying it out thing" (and it doesn't work), she is too overtired and keeps me up all night. I just want to pull my hair out... what do I do?

do you think i shouldn't have filed bk since i'm insolvent (unable to pay 1099 if charged by irs)?
