A 60.0 kg crate is attached to a weight by a cord that passes over a frictionless pulley. (1) If the coefficient of friction is 0.500, what weight will keep the crate moving up a 40 degrees incline at a constant speed? (2) If the cord is cut when the crate is at rest at the top of the incline, how far would the crate have slid by the time its speed reached 7.50 m/s?

Where do I even start? Can someone please explain this to me. I would be very, very thankful. Thanks.

Ethical dilemma:
What to do with teens who show up to local Pagan events and classes, or who I just meet by chance who express an interest in Wicca? Our little group has a rule that anyone under 18 has to have signed parental consent or a parent present to attend. I think that is only responsible and I wish churches had the same rule. But I also worry that the kids we turn away are so desperate for information and so idealist and gullible that they are easy pick’ns for predators pretending to be Pagans/Witches. Some kids are afraid to tell their parents, because of the harsh treatment they will receive. I believe a few are truly called to this path. Most I think are just looking for something, anything different from what they’ve been taught. Many become so beat down by Christian friends telling them they are going to hell. Others have no guidance and end up embarrassing themselves when they go off half-****** talking about their “ancient religion” and how they can do this or that wild outlandish thing. I feel for them. But, I just cannot bear to break the consent rule. Is there anything that can be done for these teens, ethically?

I'm wondering whether I should buy a humidifier - I check weather.com and it'll report that the dew point is, for example, 43 degrees F and that the corresponding humidity is 67%. 67% seems pretty high (compared to an arid, desert environment). Is 67% relative? what is this a measure of exactly? Is there a better way to find out how much moisture is in the air? Thanks

Hey guys, here it i, I'm a college student and I have ambitions of opening up my own fast-food franchise.I guess I need to know the following;

1- How much capital would I need to open up and run at least one maybe two fast-food locations?

2- What should I be studying in college to be best prepared for a career as a fast-food business owner?

3-How difficult is it to actually succeed in doing this and how long will it take to actually begin making profit?

4-What states or cities have the best reputation for being fast-food restaurant friendly or in other words, where is it least cut-throat in opening and succeeding with a new business?

5-And last but not least, I am over 100k in school debt already and my credit is as bad as it can almost get, so how could I go about getting the capital to do this besides more school loans?

Also, if there are any great resources that experienced people could share with me or links or what have you, I would greatly appreciate it...Thanx everyone

I don't want to be a grocery bagger or a fast food worker. Do department stores, places like Target, T.J. Maxx, Waldenbooks, etc. Hire 15 year olds? I search online, but everything is either 16 and up or 18 and up. Thank you!

Sounds like a lack of faith. Better yet, here's this: Science proves God, The plan is amazing, the creatures are amazing, our ability to reproduce is mind boggling. We can today know the chemical elements that God used to create life where none existed! We can see how he evolved us from amoeba like structures over millions of years! It is amazing, and here is the proof of God: We breathe in what the trees breathe out, and vise versa. Why would religion seek to deny the very thing that proves the miracle of our universe!? I have an idea, because religion itself was created by MEN to unite people under a king or pope for the purpose of subjugating them and rallying them to kill the infidels (OTHER LIVING CREATURES), and science has disproved some of the suggestions for the start of life that MEN guessed in the book they wrote to control us. My faith is renewed every time I watch to discovery channel step outside to see the stars. I doubt the almighty will burn u in hell, he has no EGO.

Should extend be replaced with the word "extent"? I've googled the phrase and there are articles that use the phrase "to what extend" and not to "what extent."

ok i don't like to ask homework questions but i am somewhat stuck right now. I keep trying the problem but my answers are off. Here is the problem: Consider the dissolution of CaCl2:

CaCl2(s) ---> Ca^(2+) (aq) + 2Cl^(-1) (aq) deltaH = -81.5kJ

An 11.0g sample of CACl2 is dissolved in 125g of water, with both substances at 25.0°C. Calculate the final temperature of the solution assuming no heat lost to the surroundings and assuming the solution has a specific heat capacity of 4.18 J/(°C*g).
If you could help me understand how to do this problem then i think i can figure out the rest. Thanks in advance

I mean being "disciplined" as a child(let's say under the age of 18) by being struck. This includes spanking, or with belts or with any other object.

I just want to see how common or uncommon this is.

I asked a similar question about sexual protection. To all of those opposed to stem cell research for religious reasons, do you believe that it is an evil scheme of the devil? If not, what is it?

Do you imagine the universe is agitated?
Go into the desert at night and look out at the stars.
This practice should answer the question.

The superior person settles her mind as the universe settles the stars in the sky.
By connecting her mind with the subtle origin, she calms it.
Once calmed, it naturally expands, and ultimately her mind becomes as vast and immeasurable as the night sky.
