Hi Wisdom.
Very good question — very nice piece of writing — I think I know where it is from :)
Do you believe the universe is busy & out-of-control?
Lie down in the sands of the quiet desert and just stare at the vast sky with all its stars.
This should answer your question — because it will bring a feeling of peace & calmness over you.
A superior person will train herself to quiet her mind.
By watching these stars, meditating on them, she calms her mind.
If something so large as the night sky, with all its billions of stars can be at peace, so can you.
Once the mind is calm, it empties itself of all the chaos of everyday life.
Then, it is free to expand, allowing all sorts of ideas to enter the mind. There is no end to the creativity and learning that can come from a mind at peace.
There is basically no limit to how far the mind can go, if we let it, if we calm it.
Peace.

What a fascinating question, where shall I go from here?
With feelings....
1. I don't believe in superior, simply unique, different?
2. Nor do I believe the universe is "agitated," or that one can ( or why) "calm" it.
3. "Intouchness" (non-intellectual) can expand our inner universes with abstract wisdom & harmony with what IS.
As a metaphor, look at the stars from the clarity of a desert night. Open. Do not "think," for what is unanswerable in the human mind is so, because there is no question to answer. Flow without hopeful intrusion, & the spirit, not the mind, will expand its own terrains.

When you focus your mind on something that is permanent, vast and powerful, you have connected to what is powerful and reliable in the universe. You are calmed because of this. The agitation from your ordinary life falls away. When that happens, your mind can fill up with the forces of the universe. You become the universe.
I liked this quote very much. Thank you. Probably it comes from the Tao Te Ching or Confucius.

This statement seems to be from someone suffering from delusions of granduer.
The author suggests that calm connection with the universe expands one's mind, but had he/she realized this, he/she would not use the phrase "superior person." The need for this sense of hierarchy is for the weak minded who need to feel superior or better than others. The actual point is that each one of us has access to those moments of transcendence whereby we and our mind grow and connect into the universe. You needn't be "superior" only aware.

I think the "subtle origin" refers to that quiet, knowing
aspect of our awareness that, when felt, is calming. I used to access that state of mind often when doing yoga--I felt I was timeless, if that makes any sense.

The stars are still and quiet, and so should your mind be. The more calm, still and quiet your mind is, the more it will grow and expand.

I don't know what your objective for asking this question is, but in my humble opinion, I interpret everything that I've read to mean:
Live in the moment.
Be Here...
Be Now...
Be Present...
And you will SEE everything.
