God created the heavens & the earth & all that is in the earth in just 6 days. This disproves evolution which requires millions of years to occur.
Moreover, your last sentence is wrong, too...
The Almighty is a HOLY GOD. He hates sins. Sin seperates Man from his Creator.
But because He is also GOD OF LOVE, MERCY & COMPASSION, He gave us a way out.
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son..."
Those who accept this gift of His Son as Lord & Saviour will escape hell.
Hell was created for the devil and his angels (fallen angels). Those who persistently refuse God's gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ, will end up in hell with the devil.
Sad, but true.

Did you know that the first plants wiped out the majority of life on the planet by producing oxygen?
The fact that the remaining life would evolve to use this chemical in their biological processes is not very surprising.
Life is amazing, but only if you think that there was a plan to get from there to where we are today.
Think about this:
Toss a coin. Record whether it is heads or tails. Do it again 200 times.
Now the odd that you would get that exact sequence is 2^200 or 1 in 1.6 *10^60. That is 1 in 1,600,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000. That is incredible! You are more likely to win the lottery jackpot 5 times in a row.
But lets stop and think about it. You had to end up with some sequence. The probability that you would get some sequence is 1:1. It is only when you think that there is a target sequence to match that the odds become so high. It is only when you look back at all the different results and think that it was meant to come out this way that it becomes so improbable.
But for a series of accidents we could have been reptiles, dinosaurs, or some other creature entirely. But the coins fell as they did and ended up with us. A 1:1 chance of ending up with something, only a miracle if you say that you have to end up with a human.

The conflict is between science and Christian legalism, which takes every word in the KJV of the bible as the literal word of 'god'. The KJV doesn't talk about dinosaurs and it says that the world is only a few thousand years old. It says that 'god' made all the animals and Earth and they infer that that means "as is," without anything like evolution.
You are trying to find a compromise between the legalists and science, but you are using abstract thought to do it. Legalists don't have abstract thought. They aren't able to step back and consider that the bible might be misinterpreted, incomplete, or just be allegory. They think in concrete terms and issues are black and white.
You're hitting around the edges of the idea that the conflict between the Abrahamic religions centers on patriachal values and sytems, and you're right. Most of it is designed to give men ownership of women and children, to use natural resources with impunity, and to allow and support a power structure in which an elite few can amass a great deal of wealth and power at the expense of others. Monarchies and Priesthoods reinforce each other, keep people under control, get them to commit atrocities they would never consider except for religion and nationalism, so the church and the government can profit from the spoils of war.
You've found your connection to Nature - enjoy it!

My take on this is if we miraculously arrived here the way we are today and with all the nature that surrounds us and there is no Supreme Being (Organizer of all we are and all we see) then what a miracle is that???
And if there is a God who set all of this in motion and planned it then that is also a miracle.
It is either one or the other and both AMAZING.
Also there is something in the Bible somewhere that is along the lines of God Works in Mysterious Ways His Wonders to Behold and just maybe he gave us brains to contemplate things in the environment and study them and form opinions on them (as in Science) and no - scientific endeavour does no way cancel out the idea of a God and neither does evolution like even in the story of the creation of say Adam and Eve well who could not wonder if this could also mean "by a slow process of evolution" and what is wrong with that????
Or if just mysteries of Nature got us where we are. Science can help prove things whereas faith can't but they can be combined to complement each other.

I know exact ally the feeling, I have only to breathe in the world around me to really feel the true balance and perfection of nature.
Is it so hard to believe that the Bible was written for people back in the day to understand? Isn't it more likely that God being a being with infinite wisdom and eternal life.............thought to create the universe, if only to watch it take its course including humans and all living things. After all if you were immortal and omnipotent wouldn't you look for something to do for a few billion years?
The shear wonder and genius, not to mention the patience it must have took to wait for us to evolve is even more impressive than God making the world in seven days.
Luis Pasteur of France disproved the theory of "spontaneous generation" meaning life does not just "pop" out of now where. Science has in a sense proved that life does not just come about by itself, that at least we do know is true.

Because most of the time...it does...or at least how some portray "god." You seem to believe that anything and everything is proof of your god, well, I'm sure that a Hindu, Muslim, or a pagan could come up with the same idea if they were given the shot too, and they frequently do. So who's to say you're right when these other faiths have "evidence" of their beliefs, and it's the same as yours?

I agree. Everytime I walk out of science I just feel so blessed that God has given us all these beautiful things to study, and I too believe science proves God.
Some people are just close-minded and don't like the thought that anyone wouldn't believe in the book of Genesis. I personally believe everything that the book of Genesis says, but I also don't think that one day in the beginning was 24 hours, because it's proven that a day was longer in the beginning of time because the earth moved a lot slower. Who knows! Maybe one day was hundreds of years.
I also believe in some forms of natural selection. While it's very cruel, it's very obvious in the animal world and in cells and diseases.
I'm glad someone agrees with me on these things, I used to feel so alone because I believe in both science and God. I don't feel a science book can contradict the Bible, and vice versa. Instead, they work together to better help us understand the endless universe we live in.

my faith is proved everytime I spend some time walking in the woods. Seeing the birds, squirrels, chipmunks, deer, rabbits. Everytime I see a child I think of God, and how innocent they are and how they seem to just "know" about God without question. I teach at a nature center and God is a taboo word there. To some they cannot see the correlation between God and Science. I personally gave up in R&S cuz I was tired of being attacked for teaching science and believeing in God. I get enough of that OFF the internet to last me....thats why I stay in the dogs sections........same drama though!

"Religionists" don't.
In fact, this religionist is more than happy to point out to you that humans did not descend from anything like an amoeba (protozoans are not members of the Animalia kingdom and are a completely separarate branch of life.)
And by the way - the evolutionary process that led from single celled organisms to hominids took billions of years, not millions.
Guess that makes me a religionist well versed in science, hmmm?

Science doesn't PROVE anything. Science is not a means of proof, science, meaning the scientific method is a means of coming to a conclusion.Sure, science proves god. Just depends on what KIND of 'science' you're looking at. Reputable science, does not.
