I have read that one should not ever attempt to make croissants from scratch using anything except butter. I know it is to do with the need to chill the butter until it is almost a complete solid which margarine doesn't truly achieve. I am wondering if there is anyone who has made croissants using margarine. If so, what were the results? Did they turn out okay or were you deemed unfit to be among human beings or other such things?

TV channels without cable?

I know I can get local channels on my tv without purchasing cable. I live in rochester NY and right now am getting channel 8, 10, and 13. Does anyone know which other channels will come in? I need to know what channel to look for so when I move the cord i'm using as an antenna I know where to look for them. Thanks

ladies : how do you polish your?

nails?
do you just paint the tips or paint the whole nail solid??

i do mine all solid and my sis was talking about my nails looked fake. hers were just the tips, it looked like she clawed someone with those red tips lol

my son has sever joint and bone pains/all arthiritis test are normal..he is only 12 yrs old?

all my son't arthritic testing has come back negative...he wakes up every morning struggling to get up or even move..his hands elbows, back, feet, everywhere just hurts so bad...what else can it be...

Should the Roman Catholic Church be held responsible for the spread of AIDS in Latin America??

The UN is saying that the Catholic condom ban is helping AIDS spread in poor countries with large catholic populations. To me, it seems that some liability should be placed upon the people on one hand, but the on the other hand people are going to be people and the encouragement of this no condom policy by something as powerful as the RCC should in some ways make the RCC responsible for the health care of the infected.

Kind of a tricky problem. Thoughts?

Relinquishing Parental Rights in the State of Tx?

I am a mother of three, and my first child is four years old. The father of the child did not sign the Acknowledgment of Paternity (which is vital) when she was born. However, on the the child's birth certificate she has two last names, one is my maiden name, and the birth father's last name. All efforts to find him through the TX Attorney General have failed, I have no idea where he resides. The last time we spoke he spoke to my stepmother (whom cares for my children) about signing away his parental rights. He does not come and visit the child at all. He use to visit a couple of years ago, but not anymore. How can he go about signing over parental rights? Will he still have to pay child support to me? Does he have to get an attorney? If he signs over parental rights, is he admitting that he is the father? I need some answers! Thanks
