My mother is horrible at managing money and nearly every aspect of her life. Her bad habits have affected all of us kids and mainly me more times than I would like to count. I've given her large amounts money never be repaid (and I'm only 19). She's now gotten herself into trouble again and it's wrecking all of us. Is it any of my business? Do I just let her continue to screw up? Do I try to fix it at the risk of being rude and out of place? I'm now to the point of giving up, but she needs help although she won't admit it. And I don't know what to do that won't bury me in debt and emotional trauma as well. Please, I need serious answers and don't try BSing with it.

Okay, I'm not completely sure what etiquette is in this situation. And people's opinions might help me out greatly. This is so why I love Yahoo Answers!

Anyway, I know that we get gifts for the bridesmaids and groomsmen and parents and all that jazz. What about the people who do smaller things for us? My cousin's best friend, who is pretty much like a cousin, is cutting the cake. My 13 year old cousin is going to be standing by the guest book. My mom's best friend is making pew bows, my mom's friend is playing the piano during the ceremony, etc. etc. What should I do for these people? Would it best to get them a small present or a gift card or cash/check or just a simple thank you note? If it's a present, how much should I spend? And if it's cash or check, how much would be appropriate? I am full willing to do whatever, I'm just curious as to what everyone else has done or what I'm "supposed" to do. Thanks so much for the help!

I have an incident with a couple officers. You know how it goes, "I look like someone who just robbed someoe"... I never appeared threatening but they slammed my face against the car, put me in handcuffs, and slammed my ankle in the door 3 times. My ankle hurts, but it will be fine in a week or so im sure. But the attorney I talked to said it had to be a serious injury with broken bones or surgery for them to be able to do something. I think thats bull. Are they going to get away with this? I dont have health insurance and I would hate to get a crazy hospital bill thats telling me ill be fine in a couple weeks and attorneys telling me thats not enough. Anything I can do? The officers wouldnt give me their names but I got the license plate. This was today by the way.

I am purchasing 1 bedroom condo w/out an agent. I've researched property through websites and found what I liked. I called the listing agent and I faxed over counter offer. My question is what is the next step if the seller accepts my offer? What about the inspection and final walk through and so forth? What are the steps that I need to take before closing?

As I said before, this is not a Mommy and Me class but a place of business. Do I bring my dog to the office (by the way she smells way better than the kids and is better behaved)? Kids are disease infested rats with backpacks,is keeping them away from the office too much to ask?
And please, I know kids can't help being sick... The question is, why bring them to work? You can't leave them at home alone, no babysitter, whatever... You should have thought about it before you popped out those little carbon coppies of yourself...

He made war from the far middle east all the way to France..where they stopped him.
People along the way were told to convert if not they were killed or had to pay taxes.
If you converted you were killed.
and your book does say (ive read it all) kill the unbelievers and drive them out of your lands. you cant tip toe around that reference.

My grandmother a dear countrified woman taught me to identify it as a child. I would be sent to pick it and bring it home. She cooked it twice otherwise I think it could make you sick.
She was also the one who told me as achild in poverty they had actually possum but only when nothing else was available...and it was too greasy.
I'd like to learn the proper name for the plant I call Poke Salad. It grows up to 6 feet has a reddish stalk and black to dark purple berries. You do not eat the berries. Just the leaves. Best when young and tender.

Ok, so I have this ball that I have heated up that is made of an elastic material. Regardless of the material the ball is made of, im really just curious about the air inside it itself.
I understand the rise in temperature will increase the air pressure by giving the particles more kinetic energy thus increasing the force the air exerts on the ball's wall, but my question really is

"would the air pressure have a large enough effect on the rate that the ball changes shape from when it hits the ground to when it bounces back?"

i.e. would an increase in air pressure cause the ball to bounce higher?

Hope someone understands. :)

I want him to know that he makes my day better. Just seeing him makes my day better. We may not always talk to each other but we sometimes make a lot of eye contact and I dunno just seeing him makes me feel happier. I want him to know I think of him all the time and I am afraid to talk to him so I always just smile him. I also want him to know that I am shy to tell him I like him even though he already knows. //_^
