Hi. i just got my new vn on 6th oct 07 and was a little concered in the fact i was told it was a 2006 model on a 57 plate. what i would like to know is when did they stop making this model? as ive tried to get a manual for this ride and found it only goes up to 2004? have i been lied to so they could sell the ride or am i missing the point? thanks every one.x

just look at the VIN number of the bike, the 10'th number is the year, if its a " 4 " its a 2004, if its a " 6 " its a 2006

As far as I know the VN 800 Classic was last made in 2005. In 2006, it was replaced by the VN 900 Classic.

If they sold it to you at a BIG discount (because it's a 2006 model), then I wouldn't be too bothered.

If they charged you full whack, then I'd be seriously p'd off. Kawasaki replaced the VN-800 with the VN-900 early last year.
