appeal. I like closeness with guys but I need him to be more dominant and a little on the "bad" side so I am kept on my toes. But the last guy I liked that was a little "bad" didn't try too hard to see me after we slept together once! We were friends, hooked up a few times over the course of 7 months, then finally had sex, then I haven't seen him bc we cant get our schedules togehter. BUT If he HAD tried, I bet by now I'd be over him bc he'd lose his mystery and sex appeal. I'm not sure why.. I'm already 31 and my parents are still married and everything but I wonder why I might get bored with guys. I think I need to face the fact that people have ups and downs but even my exboyfriend that I LOVED and found SO SEXY is no longer that sexy to me bc he calls me alot and seems needy and wants to be my bf again. HELP! When does the chase turnon end? and why do I feel mean about it??

I don't think it works on at least two levels: 1) he's not good at faking 'macho', and 2) the plot line doesn't make sense - after all, his dad was finally accepting him for what he really was: a very talented, intelligent, and entertaining young man. I'm not sure where it's going but they need to bring back the real Justin. He's much more interesting than "James Dean". But, what do you think?

My 8yr old 3rd grader is not shy. Talks easily to anyone new, can carry on a conversation well. Sometimes we've had neighborhood kids come over for playdates, and they also go for swim, dance etc together.
But, she does not make any "close" friends. Plays alone at recess, hardly talks to anyone more than needed. Does well in group activities in class, participates, and is pretty good in academics.
I feel I've done what I can, exposed her to different friends, activities, playdates, going to parks. She just doesn't seem to want to bond with anyone particular.
She is happy and an active child with a great imagination and good nature/attitude.

I am not worried. Think friends will happen when they will. But, her teacher seems to think it odd that she doesn't have any friends, doesn't talk about any friends at school except her little brother.

is this something to be worried about?
What else can I do?

... affected (i.e. the middle child!) to be given a break from the situation until he gains his confidence.
I brought up four boys on my own and I didn't have this problem - the two eldest were more like twins for all of their ups and downs and although my third was a lot more sensitive he got by with my youngest and then I *made* my elder two take him under their wings and then the youngest was fine with his elder brothers.
I can see though that my middle grandson (who is also very sensitive) is being pushed out between Lewis and the baby and he *needs* more space and attention.
I want to suggest that he comes to live with me for a while but want a way of putting this across in the correct manner to his parents,
Here he will get all of the attention that he needs and I am sure that I can resolve all of his problems over sleeping/schoolwork and so on.
Any advice on "middle child syndrome" to back me up in this would be welcome.
