It's not supposed to tell a story.. it's a dream.. one thing turns into another.. Cloak and Dagger is a spy game.. so, basically seeking something out.. Spring is a time of rebirth, fall is a time where things prepare to die.. and walking through a stained glass wall to me means some event.. (by using the other lines I'd say that there is a chance that there is a relationship issue.. she's not sure if it's good or bad).. Hitting an emotional wall, or a symbolic wall.. but surviving..

OH.. and forgot the first part.. When it's cold out.. and the weather is bad, people are less likely to stray.. they stay with the family to keep warm.. (symbolically)

But, to be honest.. I believe they were a bit drugged when they wrote that one.. (I could be wrong.. but, I really love Heart.. and that's the impression I get from the stream of consciousness lyrics of this one)

Its Heart : These Dreams
The Verse your talking about kind explains its self when its in the right order .
I walked without a cut through a stained glass wall mirror in my eyesight candle in my grip and the words that have no meaning are falling from my lip
These dreams go on when I close my eyes ever second of the night I live another life these dreams are the secret when its cold outside ever second of the night I live another life ..
There's something out there I cant resist ,
The cloak and dagger part is right before the rest I think she referring to the life she lives in her dreams and that there's got to be more out there more that she can't resist so she dreams of it at night..

It's about how dreams are elusive, we can never see things clearly around us. The song talks about "shadows in the mist" and not being able to see someone's face, no matter how hard they try. I love the chorus These dreams go on when I close my eyes, Every second of the night I live another life, These dreams that sleep when its cold outside, Every moment I'm awake the further I'm away. It describes how our dreams can sometimes be more compelling and alluring then our real lives, how every moment that we're awake, we're farther from the dream world. The song is just a perfect description of dreams and how they can make you feel :).

I remember when this song was released. It was right after my fiancee was killed suddenly in a car accident in 1984. I interpreted the lyrics to be a composite of all the strange symbolisms that occur in each of our dreams & how, try as we might at times, we can't quite remember exactly what we dream when we awake. This song really spoke to me with the words:
"These dreams go on when I close my eyes;
Every second of the night I live another life;
These dreams that sleep when it's cold outside;
Every moment I'm awake the further I'm away

There's something out there
I can't resist
I need to hide away from the pain
There's something out there
I can't resist"

because the only way I could spend time with my lost loved one was in my dreams and litterally every moment I was awake the further I was away from him. Being with him via a dream was my way of hiding away from the pain of losing him which was something I just couldn't resist at the time.

Hope this helps.

Essentially the person has some fear in his mind and always want to play safe (That is why he walk through a glass wall without a cut). This fear is bothering him inspite of changes in seasons and he wishes that let the dream be not a reality.

Those commas are throwing me off. Here: Some sort of window to your right, as he goes left, and you stay right between the lines of fear and blame. You begin to wonder why you came... I think it means he's having trouble figuring out which path to take. The guy kept going and s/he stood there wondering why s/he went along since s/he's stuck there, scared and blaming her/himself for it, and wondering why s/he went. Lol, I hope you get the point i'm trying to make.
