The Reverend Francis Norton woke up Sunday morning, and realizing it was an exceptionally beautiful and sunny
early spring day, decided he just had to play golf. So... he told the Associate Pastor that he was feeling sick and convinced him to say Mass for him that day.
As soon as the Associate Pastor left the room, Father Norton headed out of town to a golf course about forty miles away. This way he knew he wouldn't accidentally meet anyone he knew from his Parish. Setting up on the first tee, he was alone. After all, it was Sunday morning and everyone else was in church!
At about this time, Saint Peter leaned over to the Lord while looking down from the heavens and exclaimed, "You're not going to let him get away with this, are you?"
The Lord sighed, and said, "No, I guess not."
Just then Father Norton hit the ball and it shot straight towards the pin, dropping just short of it, rolled up and fell into the hole. IT WAS A 420 YARD H0LE IN ONE!
St. Peter was astonished.

Going by train. How much will it cost to get to Chester zoo from the train station by taxi? Or is it reasonably quick by bus?

P.S. you have to sing "we're all going to the zoo tomorrow" while writing your answer......

I am tired of this paradox going round and round. If god can be jealous why can't we?
"For thou shalt worship no other god: for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God." (Exodus 34:14)
Oh and I thought his name was Jehova or Yaweh or Brian.

When you are born again, you are made righteous ~ you were justified ~ you were sanctified!
You can read in Rom 8:1, we see that "there is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit".
Did you know that you were justified? We have all sinned and come short of the glory of God (Rom 3:23), but thankfully we have recieved the righteousness of Jesus when we were born again (Rom 5:17) and justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus (Rom 3:24). We have been made the righteousness of God (2 Cor 5:21). You have been sanctified throught the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all (Heb 10:10). Read HEB 10~God doesn't wish for us to feel guilt and less than worthy due to sin.
God sees us as righteous even tho we repent of our sins.

I know many follow a more 'sin conscious' doctrine, but do you consider these scriptures? Do you feel the weight of sin? No judgements please :D

Just like energy, is it true that happiness plus sorrow in this world is conserved ? That is, you cannot create new happiness and sorrow. If you are happy, it is at the cost of sadness of others in some form .

My real name is Pamela and in the workplace someone I usually get along with has started calling me Pammy which might be ok if I'm with family but I thinik it's patronising at work. I have no intention of falling out with this person especially because I am new so I am still trying to fit in the team. What would be the best way to tell this guy that I don't like being called Pammy without falling out with him? Or even showing that it offends me too much or it might backfire if he decides to do it more.

I've thought of "networker" "friend-catcher" "mail master" etc.

But I don't think I've quite got it yet.

I'm looking for a couple of words that fit in a phrase of the type "Thanks to (my product) you can be a great xxxx-xxxx"

Any ideas?

10 points and heartfelt thanks for the best answer.

I have read evidence that the story of TROY was off in location. I wont go into it but i have reason to belive it was not between the Greeks and Troy, but between the Celtics and a place called TROAD, which happened to have a city also called Illium as its capitol. it is said today to be the ruins near Cornwall, England.

anyway, there are many things in history that are disputed and i am curious if they were found to be differnt what would you think?
