A surgeon was retiring from his long and rewarding career as a specialist in circumcision. Throughout his career, he had saved the foreskins of his patients in specimen jars as momentos, and now wished to fashion them into a souvenir.

So he brought his hundreds of specimens to a leathersmith, and asked him to craft an article of fine artistic quality. "I'll see what I can do," said the artisan, "Check back with me in one week."

The surgeon returned one week later, eager to see what magnificent article the leathersmith had made for him. The leathersmith presented him a wallet.

"All those foreskins and you only make me a wallet?" exclaimed the surgeon.

The leathersmith replied "Yes, but if you stroke it, it becomes a briefcase."

I thought I'd ask, since all these terms are floating around - alpha, pack leader, dominant, submissive, et cetera.

How do you see it?

For example, this gal I know is definitely in charge as she's the one on two legs, and below her there's the boss dog - a feisty 7-year-old - and below her (and everything else) is the cannon fodder, the happy-go-lucky 2-year-old.

Just for fun - please no judgmental thumbs here. We can all learn something from each other.

This will likely show how ignorant I am but

I'm wondering why gators, for instance, haven't changed much over millions of years.

And if a species is so adaptable/durable/well suited and if the ice caps are melting then could humans ever become more like gators (hypoth/supposing nothing interferes? )

If the earth continues to support life for millions of years more (with all else progressing at the same rate as now) what is said about what humans might look like?

I took my 3 month old puppy to the vet today for her exam and they gave her vaccinations and a heart worm pill and interceptor. They also gave me Advantix flea medicine in a tube that I squeeze on her back. Is it okay to use the flea medicine at the same time I give her the heart worm pills and interceptor or should I wait a few days after that?

Verizon has great reception, and now that cingular has joined AT&T, they also have great reception and fewer dropped calls. I just like the roll over. Is it worth it?

I've seen some very good comments on this problem but tire pressures are totally ignored. On hot summer days, for example, recommended pressures of 35 lbs for all tires should be more like 40 lbs. The recommended pressures on your driver's side door frame are only the minimum you need for safe operation but they don't say that for legal reasons. So if you run with badly underinflated tires, and experience a rollover, it's your own fault. Women are especially slack in regard to checking their tire pressures.

blind man is walking down the street with his seeing-eye dog. They come to a busy intersection, and the dog, ignoring the high volume of traffic zooming by on the street, leads the blind man right out into the thick of traffic. This is followed by the screech of tires and horns blaring as panicked drivers try desperately not to run the pair down.

The blind man and the dog finally reach the safety of the sidewalk on the other side of the street, and the blind man pulls a cookie out of his coat pocket, which he then offers to the dog.

A passerby, having observed the near fatal incident, can't control his amazement and says to the blind man, "Why on earth are you rewarding your dog with a cookie? He nearly got you killed!"

The blind man turns partially in his direction and replies, "To find out where his head is, so I can kick his butt."
