I've seen some very good comments on this problem but tire pressures are totally ignored. On hot summer days, for example, recommended pressures of 35 lbs for all tires should be more like 40 lbs. The recommended pressures on your driver's side door frame are only the minimum you need for safe operation but they don't say that for legal reasons. So if you run with badly underinflated tires, and experience a rollover, it's your own fault. Women are especially slack in regard to checking their tire pressures.

we have a diesel 2500 gmc suburban, and, we run 80psi front and rear(tow vehical), and, its beter to run higher then lower on tire presure

Tire pressures are important, but so is remembering you are driving a vehicle with a higher center of gravity.

Drive it like a sports car in tight corners and you could have problems no matter what the tire pressures.

Hanging up the cell phone and paying attention would help too!

Tire pressures are important.
Just as important is understanding them.
The recommended pressure on the sticker is the BEST for the combination of the LISTED TIRE SIZE and that vehicle. They DO NOT get adjusted for temperature. All pressures are read COLD as standard. Cold = not run for 8 hours.

Bad information kills as easily as ignorance.

I Regularly (once in two weeks) dirty my fingers to fill in the right tire pressure & from time to time check spare one too. Reward never flat tires.The guy is right about women
