I think it is important to remember that this darling little girl will be a woman someday and may want a serious career. Pick a name that can be shortened to something cute but allows her to also have a "grown-up" name when she is older. I knew a little girl who was named Alexandra, but was called Zany (with a short "a" sound) for short. Adorable! I'm also very partial th Sophie (Sophia).

Rose! Kind of old fashioned but very pretty! No one ever uses it anymore, and it's not hicksville sounding like some of the older names.

I read that some one named their daughter "Sophia Aurora Isabella" - and thought it was the most beautiful name I had ever heard :)
Will definately keep it in mind for whenever I have my own daughter..
I have also thought of the name Gabriella Olivia - I think its lovely too :)
