I posted a question regarding my fear that the US government does not uphold the values that make America what it was founded on and I wanted some serious advice on whether I should stay in ROTC and hope I can make a difference someday or quit (I don't have a scholarship yet and I'm not contracted yet) and try to make my difference in the civilian sector or politics. Keep in mind if I quit ROTC, I would join the reserves as soon as I graduate from college so it's not the military I'm trying to get away from, I'm just trying to find out where I would make a better difference. I was received with hostility and people accused me of being a Muslim terrorist trying to undermine the United States. And this wasn't by one person, it was by many. Am I wrong in how I feel or is there a large population of ignorant extremists on both the right and left in this country?

Herpes test results...anyone help please?

I was tested at my school and my results came back by e-mail. It says I had the Herpes Select Type-2 test. The results were "Negative/Normal." Does this mean I do not have herpes at all or just that I don't have HSV-2????

Halloween party decorations?

I'm hosting a Halloween party with the pending theme "torture." I want the decorations to be really good, almost like a haunted house and not childish/corny. So far I have a chopped-off head with chains hanging from its eyeballs and I'll hang up a variety of kitchen utensils w/ fake blood. The space I'm decorating is small (a family room and dining room), but I need ideas for cool, unified decorations that aren't impossible to make/buy. I'd like to make the theme sort of voodoo/tribal-type torture (as in shruken heads on pikes), if possible.

Also, if you have a different theme and ideas to go with, let me know!! :) THANKS!

ok I have a generator and a resistor connected to a transformer. 30 ohm resistor with 11 loops on the transformer. the generator oscillates between 500 and -500 v and has 5 loops.

Are there such things as hidden hinges which extend forward? Trying to make a cupboard door flush with a wall.

I am trying to make a hidden key cupboard in a wooden wall made up of planks. I want to make the cupboard door of the same planks but figure when the door opens it will need room on one side to open. The only solution I can figure is to have hinges which extend forward when the door opens allowing the wood of the door to pass in front of the wood of the wall and overlap it as it opens. Does anyone know if such hinges exist and what they are called?

does anyone know of a natural solution to pain?

A long time ago i was in a car accident and have had serious problems with my neck, i took narc. painkillers for a while but couldnt continue because i didnt want any seious addiction problems..... i have taken things like advil, tylenol, etc. but NONE OF THOSE work for me AT ALL I also have tried things like muscle relaxers but it doesnt work and im really hurting, has anyone found anything natural that is like vicodin or is that just not possible, please no weed folks i have to test for work.....
