Thats about 190 PER DAY!! Do you think that this is disgusting or is it OK because children are stolen in other countries ?

Personally I feel that stealing children for any reason is obscene wherever it happens. Do you?

Sad but true. No Chinese bashing here. In most cases in China, we are talking about organized crime abducting children, but in rare cases, poverty forces some parents to do those abject things. It happens elsewhere where circumstances are so terrible that people must revert to that. Can we judge their reasons, sitting comfortably in front of our computer, with a roof over our head, a steady pay cheque, a full fridge, clean water coming out magically from the tap? I am not excusing it, I am trying to understand how a parent can come to that decision. But I know that in the "right" circumstances, most of us could do terrible things....kill, torture, sell our souls to the devil, etc. Think about it for a second...

I was not sure the numbers, however, I have heard about that kinda news before. I have also seen a TV program regarding kidnap of young kids and young women in China, via CNN 5-6 years ago. They were forced to work in brick kilns and farms, etc, in rural Provinces. Government took an action, but probably situation haven't changed very much. I think current Government with Commy party doesn't govern China well. It is said history repeats. If they remained, civilians would uprise again. Then my beloved China would be in chaos like the era of Xinhai Revolution, Yuan Shikai and Civil War in near future. I read the report of Times. Those kidnapped kids and people are locals, not foreigners. The human rights of local people has to be protected by their nation. Today something is wrong with China. As the article, with the Olympics in Beijing next year, China’s human rights and environmental record will be scrutinized in the World.

I saw an advert on that recently, weird huh? I wonder what they are abducted for, sweat shops?...I'm not going to suggest anything else because it just gets worse. Its had to relate it to anywhere else since China is so over populated so it must be so different for a child there. I do still wonder how the parents let their children be stolen though. I know you can't watc your child all the time but if 190 go missing a day you think they could sort something out.

It doesn't matter where it happens, China or elsewhere. It simply shouldn't happen. Because it happens all over the world doesn't make it right for it to happen in China. Smokescreen and being prickly won't help solve the problem. Stealing children is evil and so is selliing children. China should improve its social services.

i have saw many tv programes on this subject,sadley not only china this happens,but i will never understand why families sell their ownchildren,allthough they need money. so i hope the tv celebrities are not being used as a type of the latest fashion craze. too have a child from a poor family

I saw a documentary on Channel 5 last night about that. I was shocked that the government are trying to keep it covered up. I find it awful, the poor couple featured were going to hell and back because they couldn't find their little boy
