My girlfriend and I have been dating for almost a year to the day. We've officially been together since November. My plan is to give her a promise ring on our anniversary. I have every intention of marrying her when the time is right. She still has some college ahead of her, so I don't want to complicate her getting her degree by getting her preoccupied with wedding planning.

Her parents seem to like me just fine. I know her mom really likes me a lot, her dad... doesn't hate me, he's just really quiet around me. I'm thinking it's that his daughter is his only child, and he's not too happy at the thought of her one day being gone from home. One of the unfortunate things is that he holds his courtship with his wife against us at times (they were together for 7 years before getting married, but they started dating at 15, she was almost 19, I was 22. ) I'm wondering if it would be better for me to talk to them about it first or not, and if so, what to say to them. Thanks!

When Britain first, at heaven's command,
Arose from out the azure main,
Arose, arose, arose from out the a-azure main,
This was the charter, the charter of the land,
And guardian angels sang this strain:

Rule Britania!
Britannia rule the waves.
Britons never, never, never shall be slaves.

Rule Britannia!
Britannia rule the waves.
Britons never, never, never shall be slaves.

The nations, not so blest as thee,
Must in their turn, to tyrants fall,
Must in ,must in, must in their turn, to tyrants fall,
While thou shalt flourish, shalt flourish great and free,
The dread and envy of them all.
(Chorus)
Rule Britannia!
Britannia rule the waves.
Britons never, never, never shall be slaves.

Rule Britannia!
Britannia rule the waves.

I am a 21 year old male and want to lose my stomach fat. I don't have a beer belly or anything just enough to make me self-conscious. What are some things that I can put in my diet to help out. Any exercise routines that would help would be great as well.

I am fairly new to Mac computers so please help me out.
When I turned the computer on I saw that the bluetooth sign in the top right corner on my screen is blinking. Well, it's more like a battery looking something (like you would find on cell phones), that keeps flashing up behind the bluetooth sign, but that wouldn't make any sense since the computer is not battery powered. What does that mean?
Thanks for the help!

America's thirst for fuel is at least partially based on that fact that families who have more than two children are unable to purchase a smaller car or SUV because they cannot fit more that two car seats in the second row. I am sure that engineers can come out with a slightly narrower car seat that is as safe or safer than current models. What do you think?

The reason most reject Young Earth Creationists is probably due to the overwhelming evidence that the Earth is significantly older than 6,010 years. The Earth is said to be more around 4.5 million years old, and as methods to measure its age enhance, we're only becoming more and more convinced that the figures are correct, and that ~6,000 years sounds ridiculous. Creationists keep reciting the same arguments: there are no transitional fossils, evolution is a godless religion, the Second Law of thermodynamics precludes increasing complexity, and so on. We evolutionists come back with: here are intermediates in horse evolution, creation is intrinsically religious and not scientific, the Second Law applies only to closed systems. Why does the argument's conclusion remain stagnant? Does anyone honestly reject evolution entirely? Yes--I can understand skepticism. But to reject it entirely and take Creationism as an alternative is like believing in a flat Earth today. Your thoughts?

Utah payday lenders began refusing Monday to make loans to members of the military rather than give them much lower rates mandated by a new federal law.
That new law, which took effect Monday, caps the annual interest on payday, car title or tax refund anticipation loans at 36 percent annually for members of the military and their families. A 2005 Deseret Morning News series found payday loans here averaged a whopping 521 percent interest, and car title loans averaged 300 percent.

If I were a woman, knowing that I would experience that time of the month for several years to come, I would buy them buy the pallet, place them in every pocket of every garment I owned, the glove box, kitchen cabinet, bed pillow, mail box, purse...etc. I would be set up on a monthly payment/dilivery...have them sent right to the house. Why just buy them "when you start?"

My husband and i have been together for almost 5 years. Almost this whole time he has been trying to get me to join the military! About a month ago he told me he wanted me to take the ASVAB and I didnt want to, About a week ago I finally agreed to take it and get him off my back. Well, since then I have realized that it is a waste of my time, I have NO intensions of Ever joing the military. He says that is fine he just wants me to take it because I said I would. I know if I dont take this test he will be extremely angry at me and it will cause problems in our relationship. But I feel like I shouldnt have to do something that isnt going to benefit us? I have a feeling if I take the test he will be trying to get me to join even more! Am I wrong to feel like I shouldnt have to do this? Why should I have to be stressed out? Or should I do what he wants me to do and Take it?

Im 22 and will be going back to School to finish my BSN in Januray.

Thanks everyone!

For five years, Yale Law School has fought to restrict military recruiters from its job fairs because of the Pentagon’s policy that bars openly gay or bisexual people from the military. But with the federal government threatening to withhold $350 million in grants if the university does not assist the recruiters, that fight will all but end on Monday.

After an appeals court ruled in favor of the Defense Department on Sept. 17, the law school said it would allow recruiters from the Air Force and Navy to participate in a university-sponsored job interview program for law students on Monday afternoon. For now, the legal battle to stop the recruiters is over, said Robert A. Burt, a Yale law professor and the lead plaintiff in the case.
