After reading the book "Skinny *****" I recently decided to make the huge leap into becoming a vegan. I have ate all vegan friendly foods (no meat, fish, honey, dairy, sugar, lots of candies and even changed my toothpaste) for the last month. I am still learning about what restrictions I have, so any advice would be greatly appreciated. The book has a long list of hidden ingrediants to look for and their definition. I am shocked at all the ways animals are incorporated into the foods I was used to consuming. Does anyone know of any good publications or websites that may aid me in this new lifestyle. I have had lots of ridicule from half of my family and the other half seems supportive. Also, my husband has no interest in joining me on this diet, but also doesn't want me to put our two children on it either.

I'm being harrased by my co-workers and my bosses. I'm pregnant and my co-works call me useless, worthless in front of my fase and behind my back. i have never been written up before and the first 2 weeks after i told them i was pregnant i was writen up for such stupid things. One of the vets that i work with told me that the other vet doesn't like me anymore. We used to get along fine!!
Are there any laws in new jersey that i can show these doctors and my co-workers that what they are doing to me is illegal and causing me alot of stress. I'm still working as hard as i can. I called out today because i can't stand to be treated like this anmore and i'm trying to see what my rights are. Any one out there.. Please help. If you have web sites or advice or know where i can look up these laws so they are black and white. It would be great! PS- The one Dr. is the Human Resorce director and he is of no help because he is one of the partners and the office manager is the Dr's wife.

My parents want to sell me their house, and I want to buy it. How can we do this and avoid having to list the house and use a real estate agent. I'm sure we could agree on terms, and I know we'd have to get it appraised, but how can we write up a contract, etc. The financing issue is not a problem, just the selling/buying. The 'Troop Surge' is working and working great so far . Civilian casualties from sectarian violence and Al Quada has dropped dramatically . Out of over 500 regions , there's less than 20 which still have significant troubles. . . . and those are improving as we speak . Less troops are getting killed and injured despite cries from the left that said "More troops , more deaths' . Even the left-wing media outlets have stopped denying the progress for fear of losing what little credibility they have left . It's working and there's not a damm thing anyone can say to dispute that fact .
If you are honest , yet haven't found the right opportunity to display that honesty , well here's your big chance .. . . . . or are you willing to lose whatever little credibility that YOU have left ?

My window air conditioner dripped outside and left rust stains down our vinyl siding - I just tried power washing it with siding cleaner and I also used a Mr. Clean Magic eraser; neither worked all the way - it may be stained in to the siding. Any ideas of how to remove it or cover it? The siding is white. Thanks for any help!

I currently own a house which I began renting a few months ago and plan to do so until I feel like selling it, if ever. I've been thinking about buying a house, but by myself, could only afford something that is about in the same price range. It seems to me that I could rent something for about the same price as a mortgage and get a beautiful apartment (from what i've seen). Does this make sense and sound like a good idea? I've got someone renting (paying off) my house while I get to live in a beautiful apartment for about the same amount.

Do you agree that for the cost of a mortgage, one can usually get a gorgeous apartment at the same cost? I would like to hear some opinions. Thanks!!

My sons pediatrician and I have discussed our decision not to vaccinate and she has agreed to our decision. So everything is clear on her end. The problem is the nurses. Our insurance is with Kaiser Permanente, so I never know what nurse I am going to get as they pretty much are never the same. So each well-baby visit I get the same 20 questions about his vaccine records. So far I have just smiled and nodded my head when they go into what vaccines he needs to get "caught up on". Should I continue to just play along with them just to get them to stop talking about it or should I just tell them the pediatrician and I have discussed it? I really do not know how to deal with them.
