I was reading somewhere that, statistically, people with a higher IQ are less likely to have as much religious faith as those with a lower IQ.What do you think?Does having a higher level of intelligence coincide with disbelief? At least on average?
For instance, a person with an average to low level of intelligence who sees something they can't explain might think it's a miracle and leave it at that while someone with a higher level of intelligence sees the same thing and can and will scientifically examine it, find the cause for it, and then explain it.
Also, from a religious stance, a person is less likely to question what their religion tells them.Whereas someone without belief in religion is more likely to question everything in order to arrive at a conclusion rather then just the stated one.
