I know this should be separated into 2 problems in order to solve it. but I've been stuck on where to start, so help. Please?

An inattentive driver is traveling 18.0m/s when he notices a red light ahead. His car is capable of decelerating at a rate of 3.65m/s^2. If it takes him .200s to get the brakes on and he is 20.0m from the intersection when he sees the light, will he be able to stop in time?

I have just finished it and I wanted to know what your thoughts are if you have read it. And if you have not then I would encourage you to...it's brilliant. I just have to warn you, if you are all for the threat of global warming as a legitimate accusation, then you might not like this book, but you should read it anyway......just remember to keep your mind open. My friend has a pilates studio and she usually works one-on-one with her clients. Last week she had a client bring her children. My friend doesn't have a place for children, nor does she want to, but what kind of sign could she put up that wouldn't get her in trouble for discrimination but politly telling her clients "no children please" wihtout losing clients.

i have a 3 or 4 year old hewlett packard (HP) computer and i recently lost the ability to turn the computer on. it then somehow magically fixed itself and worked for a week or so, then one night my step-father unplugged it from the back of the computer and now the problem is back and cannot get it to turn on. ive tried multiple outlets and changed the voltage and nothing seems to work. different plugs etc. do not work either. please help me get it working, cant live without my computer.

Lately I have found everything about space to be absolutely fascinating. It just occured to me that the farther from the sun we travel gravity changes and so does time, but the physics that control these variables always stays the same. Or at least thats how it seems from my prespective.

Now I understand that we are about 20 years or so, as predicted by NASA from passing through the heliopause or the boundry line of where intersteller space begins.

Now to my knowledge, intersteller space is defined as being matter, or space that is taken over by other stars solar winds and other energies.

Once this boundry is crossed, do you think our understanding of todays physics will break down?

What are the possibilities if we could reach a galaxy with completely different physics than out own?

I hope that I have explained my question good enough for everyone to understand what I am asking. Space and intersteller space is mind boggling!

I have a (slim) friend who has recently given up entirely on white flour, she claims that it "sticks" to your arteries and she heard about this from an older woman. This friend of mine is 15 years old and I agree it might not be the best thing but im sure cutting it out entirely has no point, there can’t be a problem with eating flour which we’ve been doing for thousands of years I would think. I would be extremely happy if you have a link to an article about the benefits of flour, but id like to see both sides of the story, though I still don’t see how bad can it be? Is it worth cutting out entirely?

Hi,

I have an 8 month old Black Lab/ Terrier Mix. He's 40lbs and in great shape. Last night around 7pm he had an explosive diareahha event. We thought nothing of it as his mood didn't change. Nothing else for that night, but this morning he woke up at (6am) and was lethargic. Slow going, but still active. He went potty and had a softer than normal movement. By the time I went to work (8am) he was more lethargic than when he woke up. I went to work and rushed home at Noon to check on him. By this time I almost had to force him to get out of his crate. We went potty and (normal stool) there was a 2in peice of plastic that looked like a coffee stirrer in his stool. I mean I have never seen him this slow paced, he's usually a non-stop little spark plug. I stayed home after that, called the Vet. He said to fast him for 24hrs and limit water. Now 9pm and he pretty much won't move. I need suggestions. He is not sensative to the touch anywhere, belly is soft, nose wet, paws normal. Thanks!

Could someone help me with this?? There is also a correction to the question: fn(0)=0

So when x= 0 fn(x)-->0
when x = 1/n² fn(x)-->+∞
when x=1/n fn(x)-->0

I don't know where it changes over from +∞ to 0 again. It's somewhere between 1/n² and 1/n but how do I figure that out??

Also if you can help with the other parts... that would be awesome!

I just read a question about sex before mariage and there were like 20 answers that went like: "You've got to test drive the car before you buy."

Well, does this mean that if you had a partner that you loved deeply and you wanted to spend the rest of your life with her/him you would dump him/her if he/she were bad in bed?

Would'nt you try to fix it, to teach and learn in this area too out of deep love for your partner?

If the answer is "no", is the feeling in this case even "love"? Does love comes with the "you've got to be amazing in bed" condition or is love unconditional?

I can't and won't judge anyone on pre-marital sex, still the test drive metaphor just seems like something awful to me...
